Theres a text file somewhere where you can rename them backto what they're really called.

ok I lied, the Aug and Sig aren't going the names have just changed completely, bloody confused me.

I did however leave my PC on with Steam running all day from about 10am til 6pm whilst I was out which probably helped download it.

They are the names in CS retail, they are not allowed to use the real names for commercial gain as they dont have permission.

Fun with dialup:

1. Connect to internet.
2. Run Steam.
3. Disconnect from internet.
4. Attempt to do something with Steam.

It then crashes with this:

Would almost be funny, if they hadn't been beta testing it for two years.

Is it not possible to join a CS game from this website anymore? I just says something about lan games, can I only play via steam now?

Had my first game of 1.6 last night on kea :)

I like it, even though being called a noob camping twat got my back up a bit.

Must be a good sign ;)

do I have to join kea through steam, I get the lan game message on there too? I can play 1.6 via steam but it hasn't updated my normal cs game, the icon on my desktop just links to the old cs, which still works btw. Is it possible to play 1.6 without steam and how does this work with barrys world?

Well, i fired up steam and logged in then joined KEA through ASE with steam still in the background.

Worked no problem for me.

YOu need to update ASE (its set to do automaticly unless you have changed it) to filter for steam and 1.6 and support it. You cant run 1.6 without steam. If you all read the websites about steam or even CS news sites you would know all this :rolleyes:

Just got this last night. Worked fine doing all the installs straight away. I have to say, i love the new tactical shield for the CT's. :)
