Thanks @Deebs for the offer and I'll keep it mind and again thanks everyone else.

She got a phone call today regarding her next steeps after the specialists had a meeting, they are looking at a number of tests depending on how well each one works with the first being ultrasound with needle aspiration.

As for the booster there are many reasons I'll be getting one as soon as I can:

  • I've had two negative antibody test results from the ONS survey.
  • I'm going on Immunosuppressants again.
  • My mum has cancer and might have some medical treatments that'll weaken her even more.
  • I'm considerate enough to realise that people who I don't know might come near/contact with me and be put at risk if I don't get protected.

My mum got a call yesterday telling her the biopsy is planned for next Wednesday (10th Nov) but a short time later it was put back until Mon (15th Nov) since the consultant wasn't available to do it on the Wednesday, the biopsy is important to allow them to decide on some form of possible treatment. Overall it is disappointing that it took so long to actually get away from the initial GP belief it was just her usual chest issues and eventually to do 2 x-rays then a wait for a CT now a wait for the biopsy and then a wait for the results, it is problematic when they tell you that it is important to deal with cancer as fast as possible.

Mrs JBP| was diagnosed with womb cancer earlier in the year after the initial diagnosis we decided to see a consultant privately, we also did this when she needed a knee replacement. We are of the opinion it has been the best couple of hundred quid spent on both occasions, as it seems to move the process along alot faster than waiting for the NHS to respond in their own time.

My parents probed that avenue but due to the part of the process she are currently in it isn't likely to be any faster.

Managed to get my Covid Booster booked for later this month, although booking the flu jab seems to be problematic as there are more delays in deliveries of the shots.

Primary covered. Secondary to come then. But good you've had your booster.

Got seasonal flu jab on Friday, hoping for a mild winter flu season. Kids have already been sick half a dozen times since August feels much worse this year than most "fresher flu" seasons

How old are you @Ormorof? Flu jabs in the UK are for over-50's only.

Flu jabs here is for everyone willing to take one, free 🤷‍♂️

Edit missus corrected me, its free for anyone with kids or who hangs out regularly with at risk groups (pensioners, diabetics. Hospitals, etc) and for the rest most companies offer it for free to their employees if they want it

Most employers also offer free flu jabs for those that want them.

Anyone had their covid booster jab yet?
If so how were your side effects?
2 people where I work have had it and both were pretty fucked up with side effects for 3 days (both received a pfizer booster).

Soooo, I had my "booster" yesterday; which turns out isn't my booster but is my 3rd shot. My booster is actually in 6 months. Fun being on immunosuppressants.

Got home Tuesday and felt miserable, still managed to actually do work.
Woke up yesterday and felt utter shite. Migraine all day. TOIL to the rescue.
Woke up today feeling like Tuesday.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll feel normal?

At least I now have 5.5G.

My dad was quite unwell after his. Zero side effects from the first 2 jabs, but ill for a few days after his booster.

Seems to affect people almost at random. I was unwell for a day after my second, my sister was out for 3-4 days after hers, and my wife had nothing at all.

By "side effects" do you mean "felt like shit"?

Covid jabs make a lot of people feel like shit because they provoke a strong immune response. That's not really a side effect - that's just how they work.

A side effect would be: "my cock turned green!"

Thanks for your medical expert opinion, you really are being a tit just lately. Have you thought about taking a holiday recently? I think you should.

Lot of angry people with green cocks around here :bootyshake:
Only one angry is you, for being called out on your bullshit opinions over several threads.
You might also want to take a trip to a&e if your epeen is going a funny colour.

It was just such unnecessary pedantry and not even accurate. A side effect is an adverse reaction to something, the "something" is obviously being used to do good otherwise why take it in the first place? It's like saying hair loss isn't a side effect of chemo.

I was just chatting. Should have said "unexpected" - but yeah - fair cop, technically not accurate.

People are a bit up tight I think. Any post with "green cock" in should be taken with a pinch of salt, surely? 🤷

Only person I know who has is my mother, who had 2 shots of AZ and now a boosting with Pfizer. No issues reported, although she did feel like shit after her flu jab.

Mine won't be due until January, however unless it's mandated for travel I probably won't bother. I could be more easily persuaded if AZ was available on the booster program, but I'm less keen to get involved in the Heath Robinson practice of mixing stuff.
