Dodgy ground changing our vaccination plan.

If we had closed everything for 3 weeks prior to Christmas we wouldn't be in crisis mode now.
I dont believe the public would have done enough to stop the new strain from expanding. Maybe slightly less but was a thing on last night saying even in 4 with everyone applying the rules we would be increasing dramatically. They could have done that at any time in most of 2020 and we wouldn't be in this situation. Frankly even if they'd done absolutely nothing I still think we'd be in a better position.
You cannot predict what a mutation will do until its already mutated. We have loads more beds with oxygen et al in the nightingales. But you dont want to use them u til you make the choice to stop most other health support cause you need to take the staff from other areas.Extra deaths is the absolute measure...for deaths.
That doesnt include severe illness of course which can go on to death at a later date.
The issue is they knew there would be another wave..they new it would mutate, but not an ounce of the billions spent went towards preperation, we are fighting it with the exact same number of ICU beds we started with...and that is simply because it is old people and no one cares.
Jeezuz.
You're a walking talking reason to overhaul our whole society, never mind education system.
You could probably teach an ordinary nurse to work on covid patients in ICU within a few weeks and Im pretty sure they are doing.
Yes.
But they follow procedure and the electronics are doing most of the hard work.
Its almost entirely basic nursing and servicing all the tubes and wiring, the consultants are making all the decisions.
