I guess patrick maybe was being abit of an ass, but Corden does my frikin head in even though it seems many sorta sided with him.

Someone get that fat tw@t off the telly.

Was this a setup?

You all make me lulz - Corden's a fucking legend for what he's done, he's become successful, and good on the lad, that guy ripped him to shreds yeah - so he does it back and you all slag him off because of it..

I saw someone say "modern humour"
Well maybe y'all should keep up with the times?

Shit, this was meant for the general chat, see it!! :p

Rob Brydon was the only good thing in Gavin and Stacy, he's frikin legend, not Mr Every joke relies on homosexuality and fat.

Not really a big fan of Corden, but Stewart was out of order and Corden came out of that looking far better.

Patrick Stewart was drunk but good humoured. The fat little shit was full of malice and backed up by a crowd who were presumably too young to know who Patrick Stewart was and too dense to recognise him out of a wheelchair.

Well Patrick Stewart isn't old school enough to be used in "don't know who he is" yet.

Which, btw, is only done by people who think they are all grown up :p

About the whole situation, both looked like silly people. Stewart didn't really come off as a pro and the other guy, what's his face, was just an interrupting cow.

Stewart came across as drunken fool, and he will regret agreeing to do that little segment (it was all staged), after so much booze. Corden just came over as a malicious little shit.

Neither of them should be proud of it, as others have said.

Quite right.

Cordon is still an utter, utter twat though. He must do a lot of pole to get on TV, its the only reason I can see for him to get TV space.

Seems Corden got angry about Stewart saying he was fat?

It's lolworthy tbh, Corden has built his entire career around shitty fat jokes... is that fucking 'modern humour'?

Yes, apparently, according to our local youth Gwadien, modern humour involves; jokes about your own flaws, toilet humour, sexual innuendo. Fuck me! It's a comedy revolution! Why did no one think of these things before?

Stewart is a fine Shakespearean actor but loves himself just a little too much
Corden has moments of genius (Gavin & Stacey) apart from that I don't like his comedy & he does come across as a bit of a twat
...but I think showbiz does that to people...

Ok the full story is Patrick was getting a bit pissed off that Corden was standing
around as the host with his hands in his pockets looking bored with the occasion like he was a little above it.
So when he went he went up himself he made a few comments that probably
didn't come out as planned due to a few too many wines.
Cordens reaction was totally confrontational and was bordering on 'See you outside' which sums the prick up to me.
Patrick is a bit of a thespain lovely with far too much ego, but he was probably partially lamenting on the fall of standards in the entertainment business these days.

Yup he forgot to have a punchline for his remarks.
I guess he forgot the audience wasn't his usual crowd.

I didn´t know Corden, but from what I´ve read about him in this thread, I think I know what kind of comedian he is.
For a guy like Stewart, it´s almost impossible to "win" a clash against a guy like this, simply because the opponent is ready to lower his standards to a limit you can´t compete with. That´s what happened here basically. Stewart didn´t come across very souvereign in this scene. He should have ignored him.

i hate james corden but patrick stewart came accross as a complete twat, that was just awkward and not funny. Don't think many people would just let themselves be humiliated up on stage

It was like watching 2 kids fight

If you fancy the Jonas Brothers cross your arms

please that was a rubbish retord from someone who knew he was beating by a comedian. You may not find him funny but comedians are always good at beating a heckle

I saw an overweight man desperately searching for a way to one-up an elderly gentleman that had enjoyed a little too much alcohol. He could and should have handled it completely differently.

Stewart should have been professional which he wasnt.

tbh i have no love for either of them, never watched gavin and stacey and fucking hated star trek,

some or cordens comic relief stuff was really good (the one with the england squad last year was epic)

from a fairly neutrle view point, niether of them were overly funny, but stuart started throwing insults and lost badly, then just made a cringeworth comment about the jonas brothers and the room just had an awkward silence, corden should ahve left it thier really, was a massive self ownage

You can clearly see Sir Pat looking down & reading when he tells his "fat joke" about the fat bloke. He was probably told, "do some fat jokes, he luvvves that"

Watch the whole 2:15 of it on youtube. Its the subtleties that win it for Pat, like when he says " who are you" ? He remained good humoured to the end, fat bloke however got nasty, you can see him in the back panicing, he has to breath in rather sharply at one point & did not look happy !

Assimilate the fucker Locutus :ninja:

then you clearly watched a different 2.15 vid than i posted. He attacked Corden trying to tell him how he should stand, Corden appologised then told him to get on with it. I would have done exactly the same thing if someone tried to ridicule me infront of a room full of people. Forget who both people are and just think about the situation

Yeah, and next we'll be crying over how a poor innocent girl named Paris was brutally taken advantage of and her precious sexual oments spread across the internet :p
