You're absolutely right. There should be no enquiry and we should just let the police do whatever the fuck they like. After all, they're the police they couldn't possibly be wrong.

Maybe they were fucking around a bit and weren't taking the police officer seriously but who's to say this kid deserved to be put in the bin. That's a gross abuse of the coppers position and regardless of the fact that a lot of the time I want to kick the shit out of chavs (though I never shall) it's disgusting what he did. The copper should be sacked and possibly even have to do some sort of community service/get a big fuckoff fine.

Nothing to do with PCness - but if he gets away with it it'll be like a big "y'know what, it's OK to do this sort of shit to kids who give you lip, you'll get off" to every copper who gets pissed off with loudmouth kids.

The article didn't say that, it said a bank was going to stop giving them away with kids accounts because it might offend Muslims, which is a very different thing (common sense if they can't identify the religion of the kid; come up with a more culturally agnostic promotion).
