Well my computer isnt overheating or anything. It's running at an acceptable 65C cpu and 35C system, however, it's heating the room up to nearly unbearable extremes. Short of venting the hot air outside is there anything I can do to cool it down?

Will adding more fans help? Surley it will just move the hot air around.

Any ideas?

cheers.

Only real alternative would be an expensive water cooling system - otherwise the fans just move the heat around.

Even with watercooling, the heat will still be in the room.

posted this already on some of the other omg im hot threads.

ok for all you people out there struggling with the heat.

1. buy a big bottle of water
2. Freeze it solid.
3. buy an electric fan
4. take frozen water out of freezer and place on plate/container.
5. Place above infront of fan.
6. turn fan on.

You now have a self made air conditioning set.

Yes I do have my uses!!!!!!!

My graphics Card is on the fritz at the moment, when it hits 90oC it crashes most of my games [Warcraft for instance]

Think i need to get one or two case fans, one for the back and one on the side of the case, but by the time i get them it'll probably be pissing down anyway -.-

/edit

Would have thought the 6800 Ulta would hve been able to handle that type of temperature anyway

Its just very hot at the moment, computers are suffering, best thing is to try not to play games during the hottest part of the day since that will increase you pc temp + if you have smart cooling your fans will start going manic.

im currently running at a case temp of 44C and Cpu of 65C, my main pc is in an extension of the house that gets very hot (flat roof, roof windows)
