So true. But its not like how you would think. Its not like when you have the shits in the night or a dog starts barking. Its weird, its your duty and the most important thing in your life needs you so you kinda ignore the lack of sleep.
Having said that its Samm who gets up with my boy, I just never hear him.
Its also now that things you didn't care about before start to really bother you. Bird flu for instance, I couldn't give a shit about that if I wasn't a dad but I am and its worrying the fuck out of me.
Some helpful parents will make the ride easier, my son is staying his nanna's tonight so that means noisy sex could be on the cards.....not for his nanna......for me.....and samm.
On the other hand I may just want to slam doors and bounce up and down on the bed shouting 'cheese' but I will have to see what mood im in later.

Sounds like you both had a tough time - sometimes I think how lucky blokes were in the old days when the husband was not required in the process but you can give a lot of support and you can be there to look out for her interests during the labour - the missus has labour that lasts about 3 days so I know how completely knackering it is - still its all worth it in the end...
