I would consider it a bad move if you go out of your way to convince her to think the same way as you. That may appear a little forceful and push her further away.

Take her to a club and pay the DJ to play 'I want you back' then impress her by your crazy sexy dancing.

That always works, heh

You're still really quite young, getting hung up over one girl seems a little silly. You'll get older and get over it, or you'll become a silent recluse

You should be concentrating on strengthening friendships with your mates though, and if a girl turns up out of the blue, so much the better for something to happen with no forward planning.

red stripe anyone,

Rock clubs only work if your making a lot of movement and people are looking in your direction to begin with, otherwise you just blend in with the usually badly dressed crowd. if your not a confident person having everyone look at you is going to fuck you up even more. I suggest you forget what other people think. works great.

General forums truly are general these days huh!

Working in a bar helped me a h-yow-ge amount with self-confidence and all that gubbins. Well, working with a lot of people generally helps, actually. I did 2 years in TKMaxx and, looking back, although it was an atrociously bad job, it did help a lot. Talking to customers, chasing wannabe thiefs... it all adds up to a more confident you.

hmm, the lovely prezza moment

1.jpg

John Prescott arrives in Rhyl on a campaign visit.

2.jpg

An egg, thrown at close range, hits the deputy prime minister's jacket.

3.jpg

John Prescott appears to throw a punch at a protester who had thrown the egg.

4.jpg

The protester responds in kind.

5.jpg

Onlookers pull the pair apart and the deputy prime minister is pushed to the ground.

6.jpg

Moments later, John Prescott leaves.

saw it with my own eyes :D

anon, just be yourself and sod what other people think. No one likes some one who is false.

With regards the lass you were after, sorry to hear about that mate but there are plenty more crabs in the ocean. Just look upon it as her loss and not yours.

I don't think rock city is the kind of place Scooba was reffering to... I get the impression, from my sister, that it's full of losers who aren't 18, and don't look 18(so can't get into better clubs).

Mapperley - Suburb north of the city.

So simple and yet so very true.

My advice: Be yourself, no one of any importance is going to judge you for it. You're only young once and if you change your hair/clothes/lifestyle just because someone on an internet MB told you too and it sticks your gonna look back on your life and damn the day you did it.

You've got a lot of conflicting advice, i think you are the only one who can really decide. Smack your favourite CD on, make yourself a drink and think about it. No-one knows you better than yourself after all :)

While I was doing a search for this years Top 100 women I came across this site:

http://www.askmen.com/index.html

It looks like it has loads of good advice on all aspects of relationships...

Perhaps give it a read sometime...also has advice on for when you *are* in a relationship (which will help you keep the girl you're interested in!!)

My advice:

Ignore what is now a three page thread of people saying the same thing over, and over, ad infinitum.

Fall for her, hijack a plane to take her to disney land, stab her in the face and bury her in a Pluto costume. I don't care, we don't care, and popular concensus (by way of this thread) suggests you not care, either.

Its a Dog-eat-Dog-buried-in-dog-costume world out there.
