Coming Back to DAoC Need Help :D

Hi guys, used to play along time ago. Was wondering what are the top melee classes in RvR these days? With NF, ToA and all that. I love thanes are they any good? Or do i need to go with a duel wielding class? I'm not bothered by realm.
Do I need to bypass a melee class overall because of NF RvR? But I love group open combat and actually getting to see the whites of peoples eyes Any help would be great, oh i like PvE but the character will be mainly for RvR.

yep, dual wielding classes are atm fotm, zerkers hit damn hard and crush half ogres are a pain. dunno about BMs tho. never been against one in rvr couse i play hib.

no its easy a friend of me rollen a necro + bb, now 1 mont later he have a lvl 50 inf a bb and a some ok gear and quite a few plats

Berserker seams fun. Nice damage and Charge RA is useful.

Skald is flexible and quite good class as well. With
the new 3in1 resists makes em even more grp friendly since its not every
day u can get a aug healer in grp for resists. Skald RAs is good as well. SOS
and melodies.

Warr and Thane with Bodyguard isnt that bad either. Great for duo.

Personally I like to play my WL atm. Just dinged rr5 so I was able to get
aug dex 5

Why do people start playing overpowered classes? By the time you're ready to get playing chances are Mythic will have a nerf on the way. Here's an idea: why don't you play a class you want to play?

Yeah, but flank and follow up while slammed I have kinda limited experience from playing merc, but it seemed to me that you only get to use DS when people are mezzed or stunned. So it is not THAT useful imo.

go crush insted of speccing in shield imo.. more dmg on your weaps and u dont have to switch

What about Back Slash?

Backslash is in the slash line, so you would loose alot of damage using that (if you even get it, I think its 44 slash for back slash). But any style in the slash line gets reduced damag, which is why you only have to use dw-styles.
