Well, quite a few times I've seen people saying that they have quit and that they were waiting for the FH post telling them to reactivate cause the game has improved.. Now is the time if you ask me.

In the last couple of weeks I haven't really played much as I was getting bored with the constant scenario jumping in order to get some "rvr" fun and xp at the same time, but when I logged on my WP today I've been in all kind of open rvr zones and I love it!

The client has become a ton more stable and I hardly ever lag anymore (except when there's an amazing numbers at a keep), as well as the open rvr has become populated. The influence in RvR has given me a bit more of a reason to actually do RvR as well, which is something I feel was lacking.

Today was an amazing day for me and if I am to be honest I think some people who left should try it for a month as I'm sure alot would find it improved and fun once more.

Agree?

True it all has improved.
It aint improving at warp-speed , wich aint realistic but it is what the kids want, but it is getting there.

The new influence system in open rvr is very much a stimulance. The change in stats on set items rox for my engineer. All changes made in the previous patch for all the classes helped out alot of grumbles for me :)

i can go on but people should see for themselves

Personally I'd recommend anyone who left to leave it till January when hopefully all the new bugs they introduced with 1.1a will be squashed (there are some stinking great ugly new bugs you may or may not have noticed depending on the class you play).

Agree that the state of orvr has improved a little but there's still a long way to go people are still pve'ing objectives just with one extra reason and imho keeps need to be redesigned, but yeah there's definitely more people in the lakes now.

Definitely they seem to be slowly getting back on track.

There are some huge issues atm though, interrupts are fubar, disable is screwed and disable classes are seriously fotm right now, knockdown is also buggy as are some of the new quickbar changes.

I would say the influence rewards in orvr have done little so far though, instead of pveing OB's for renown, players now do it for renown and influence. You get bugger all influence for kills in a warband, pveing OB's is still too lucrative imo.

Orvr does seem to be more populated than before and it is certainly an improvement, but until they scrap or drastically reduce/change all rewards for undefended objectives, many many people will still run away from fights to pve their influence and renown.

As has been said, there is a long long way to go before they really get orvr in a playable state and manage to focus players on smashing the crap outa each other instead of each others npc realm guards. That being said, it is improving.

had a load of fun getting gubbed by Order in reikland tonight :)

They definitely need to fiddle the rewards for undefended objectives though.

Now is the time if you ask me.

1. Have they fixed the animation bugs?
2. When you queue for a scenario do you still just get SP?
3. Do you still sit there like a pillock once you have all the keeps and BOs in a zone?
4. Have BW been nerfed?

If it's not a yes to all of those 4 things then no it's not time to come back for me.

(I'm not trolling either I honestly will be back tomorrow if they have fixed those 4 things I need break from PvE in WoW. :p)

Yes to all, but 1-3 are a qualified yes.

Things have certainly improved in ORvR, had a great time in Tier 2 last night on my 20 WP. But K8P's has a good population one of probably 3 servers that still have. GOA need to sort out the char moving very quickly.

The interesting question in this regard is more - what happens when people has their influence bar filled.

I'm still playing and I think things have improved (at least on the mythic servers). The client is a lot more stable, open RvR is a lot more fun and the game overall feels like a less of a grind.

Having said all that, we are only just getting rid of bugs that really should have dissapeared before beta finished, and only now are mythic even beginning to focus on the systems and improvements that the playerbase is asking for, even some of these, frankly, should have been around for launch.

Personally I wouldn't rush back. I think the true test of WAR and mythics commitment to it will be over the next six months, and in seeing if they can truely make WAR the next gen mmorpg that it should be.

Play on US servers so it's a bit different. Noticed that either all or some of the servers are down every day for some sort of fix, even at weekends. "rvr performance/stability" is usually the excuse used, not sure if it's really making any difference though as I'm not playing much.

Game feels like it's headed in the right direction, addons also seem to be getting much better (loving tome tracker, tome titan, twistassist and war bar addons).

As the bearer of bad tidings usually, I hate to say this but it's definately getting better. Which makes a change from my recent Tabula Rasa/ AOC experiences :)

The fortress sieges are still in a poor state but the game has gone better.

Smoother animations, better ability firing (yes the morales fire now :p) etc.

The game is alot better than at release put it that way i returned around 2 weeks ago and finding the game alot more fun than before.

The new ORVR rewards are encourging alot of grouping which in turn leads to socialising and in the end leads to friends on your friends list.

That being said the game has a long way to go.

Improving weekly but losing folk weekly too. Servers seem pretty dead for a new(ish) launch mmo tbh.

Influence in so called open rvr is pretty shit really. Rewards are ok but whats the point when all that happens is a warband gets together(collects strays as they travel) and they then go from Ob to OB pveing npcs.

Most refuse to then defend a keep etc after taking it.

Why? Because they know the enemy will give up after the first 15 mins of trying and go pve another keep elsewhere. They dont stick around mainly because they know that the defenders (legendary rare item) are getting more inf than them. So they bugger off to pve a keep and get some loot.

The "defenders" then leave that keep and head to another area (but not the same area as the attacking enemy) and pve a keep .Then the two apposing sides swap areas.

All complete and utter bullshit pve.In a so called pvp based game.Utter tripe.

People are now 40 and playing other games or alts when they should be sacking cities, playing the Undercroft/War Quarter scenarios etc, killing the enemy and generally rvring/pvping .When they do play its to pve to get a gold bag.

(of course there is a rare occasion when theres some "o"rvr but that seems to be just zerg v zerg ala Tarren Mill or the opposite with fixed Strictly Come Fake RvR groups)

Gutted, I guess I'll have to wait till they make the ORvR more efficient & fix the queues.

Ty for the replies though. Maybe next year I guess. :/

/lurk :(

Why? They've fixed everything on your list..

I rarely see the same scenario popping up multiple times in a row..

BW's aren't as big of a problem as they used to be..

Animations are alot more smoother now as well...

The game has improved vastly imho.

Still some crap that needs to be sorted (give me back my massive shoulder pads ffs) , but they are great steps in the right direction.

I asked in IRC. Animations are still broken & no one defends keeps you simply go round take a undefended one and swap every 15 mins.

I can do that in AV and it doesn't cost me an additional £8 a month to do it.

I'll pass till mythic get their arse in gear.

Not noone....

Also, they've nerfed the influence for taking objectives - you get more for defending and for killing people now (so better to kill people defending, best to defend against other people and kill them :))

Hmm I have to admit it's tempting and it'll be a lot less dull than:

"MAGE LFG - DAILY HEROIC"

Then AFKing in town till the raid instances reset of a wednesday! ;/

I've always enjoyed the game but must admit the latest patches have made some great changes :)

Defending has involved in the past someone standing up and saying "no, how about we go do some RvR instead of PvE" in a warband and getting the interested folks to go with you ;)

Hopefully it's a bit easier with the latest changes but it'll always need someone to lead the way.

Warbands doing RvR aplenty thanks to the last patch, before there was little or none. The game was good to begin with imo, has got better since the patch although there are a few things still need looking at.

I'm enjoying it and will continue to do so if Mythic's progress so far is anything to go by.

Give it more time before you subscribe, the game is slightly better now than release, but its still way off what it should be.
