I thought they made it so you had semi-CD. i.e. Realmmates can run through you but enemies get blocked. Exploit-o-rama, perhaps, so they might have changed it.
Its still in. Its very easy to change apparently so it will change many times until release.
Latest convention had CD on both friendlies and enemies while PvP flagged.
Cool! Its going to make so much difference when you can actually bodyguard people properly with tank classes rather than having light tanks just run thru them to attack the vulnerable classes - that in itself is a massive improvement over DAOC if you wanted to find one

I see Lexa's point in the use of CD in a non rvr enviroment, it could possibly be tripped by conditions but be inherently turned off in something like a city until those conditions are met.
whats to exploit? seems like a kickass thing to me to use in bottlenecks when ur out RVR'ing.
enough meat shields to block the enemies from getting through to the squishies while the ranged/healers sit back doing their job.
or just box in whatever enemy to prevent him from running away.
would be great imo.
What about the Chaos Mage? That guy is hovering on a Disk of Tzeentch. Does this mean he isn't bothered by the CD? Or doesn't he fly high enough? Or is this asking too much assumption from people who can't know and people who do know asking to break NDA?
There is no reason to not have collision detection and plenty for it, in both PvE and PvP.
Well, the reason not to have it, is that your realmmates can block the way for you, and you can't slash your way through your realmmates. But that's easily mended afaik.
Imagine in DAoC terms 4 shield cross guarding tanks boxing a melee enemy into a corner, hitting engage and all going to the pub leaving the poor bastard pinned to the wall unable to escape
