Why don't CNN put one of their super-slow-mo uber-cameras on it if it appears regularly several times a week and sort out what it is?

Oh, that's because they wouldn't have a story, right? ;)

He just happened to have his camera set up on a hill in the middle of nowhere.

Why are all UFO sightings such grainy out of focus pieces of unrealistic flying bags of shite? We've managed to photograph a cluster of galaxies as they appeared 13 billions years ago. We can split atoms into their subatomic elemental particles. Yet we can't take one decent clear shot of a UFO.

That UFO's exist, I can accept. From a probabalistic perspective. That they can be even remotely interested in our i-Planet (the Earth is now copyright Apple Inc.) and be photographed by an inbred straw-chewing tobacco-spitting neckerchief-wearing chainsaw-murdering hick?

Clearly an insect. Two cameras side-by-side would prove that.

You know a UFO isn't an alien? If you threw your mums dildo fast enough that someone only saw the blur it would also be a UFO.

This lol :)

They don't bother to comment on the likely size of what they're seeing, unsurprisingly, but surely its too big to be an insect ?

Shrug, it's clearly not an alien.

I saw a UFO the other day - just glimpsed it moving swiftly in the gap between trees.

Looked like 3 linked spheres with thin struts between but thats because the human eye is a lieing piece of crap particularly when you quickly glimpse things.

I actually think it was the side on view of some birds flying formation but it shows how potentially easy it is to see them.

I'd like you, if you're willing to (dis)prove this story:http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/us...us/2012/11/13/co-ufo-sightings-in-denver.kdvr
This is the 2nd news org that posted it and the CNN news guy only took one camera thus confirming nothing.
If you would be willing to do this, please take the cameras point them at the sky line from the same approximate location but separated by apx 100ft (if you can measure it we can get more info about the situation but its not required to prove or disprove this). This will give us a triangulation on the location this is happening. We can then time sync both cameras and determine if this is localized (ie bugs) or distant. If we have the appropriate measurements we can also determine things like airspeed, size and exact 'landing' locations.
Thanks!
Edit: Phyridean, Agnostix, and Monst have all graciously stated they will try this out. I believe they are coordinating with each other. Give them love in the comments below reddit. For sweet sweet Science!
Edit 2: Agnostix is organizing. PM if local and available. Also seems at least one person will be there Saturday at noon.
Edit 3: A relatively large group will be at 84th and federal 11:30am/noon this Saturday. Let us know guys and thanks again for the effort!

Remind us to check that thread out again after Saturday :)

Don't worry, these lads are on the case.

Why does everyone investigating the paranormal look like utter douchebags?

I am fairly open minded with this sort of thing but these clowns lend it no credibility whatsoever.

Because, exactly like religion, the paranormal is witch-doctory sky-fairy-filled ass-ramming supersticious bullshit and anyone who "investigates" the "paranormal" is a douchy little scamming scumbag who preys on the wallets of idiots.

Like God, there's no such thing as ghosts.

The paranormal isn't just ghosts (which I don't believe in either)

Paranormal is a word that means events that cannot be explained by normal experience or by science.

Every single *properly* scientific study has found no evidence of anything to even explain, never mind evidence of something unexplainable. So, like God, science can't "explain a negative" - but it's pretty nailed-on certain that "paranormal events" are (at best) simply borne out of over-eager human imagination.

It actually means "science has not yet found a reason"

Several things paranormal have now been investigated by science, lightening balls, giant squid. The fact is, some things do happen that are not currently explainable by science...that's not to say they are ghosts or some shit, it's just that their events are so rare they cannot be studied.
