Hi, someone tell me how to play a cleric? I've got a lvl 50 one and I just can't play it! Need tips please

they don't need clerics anymore now

I hate to say it but clerics are dead since the bot came

clerics are only good enough for base buffs and the occasional heal in combat

I hate bots

nope cos its been so long since i bothered to play cleric i cant remember

we aint needed no more

when I was 46r/27e/8s, the smite variance was just hilarious.. sometimes I'd hit for ~200, sometimes closer to 50

Respecced yesterday to 42r/27e/20s, and now i'm hitting for 150-200 regularly vs yellow cons

Its quite good, im with 44+13 and MoM II hit around 180-230.

So GHW hit 300 on a player who hasnt got any resist. (1%)

but your respec is good that should work ok as long as you have protection from the tanks when the enemy are all over you. I doubt that being high in smite is particulrly benfitial but I'm sure I'm gonna get slated by a lot of smite clerics for saying that

I'd be interested though to have a few views on cleric specs as I have always believed that a well balanced cleric ( as in lochy's respec) is an asset to a group as opposed to one who is extreme in smite or rejeuv. my cleric has 34 rej 30 enhanc and 29 smite and it works well...well it did while I was needed

When I was 43S/24R/21E +13 Smite to all specs I'd hit for 330ish damage on yellow cons less resists so more like 180 (-150).

Now I'm 40E/36R/3S +9 to all specs (can't remember the smite) I was hitting on Orange con Mahrs earlier for 70-190 damage so huge variance.

Now I'm virtually a buffbot who comes out to play with the guild when they need a cleric but that's about it.

That's probably true, but don't forget, what really count - Do you enjoy your character and spec or not. In spite of my sad/whinning etc tone, I'm still enjoying my spec. Btw don't think that too many clerics in the game with 40+ smite after the nerf, because it pointless.

i like my little cleric in RvR
have my 2 instant heals and some nasty stuns. always nice to see a asassin stab you and standing still stupid after the pbaoe mezz (3 in smite )

look at people like Knudden who can turn a battle with some well timed heals.

cleric s still rock. they have a different role now, but still good.

Clerics are needed, buffbots don't heal and res or stun and smite etc.
Buffbots aren't a cleric nerf in any form, just because you have less people to buff doesn't make clerics useless.

Danyan pleae tell that to the buffbot people because Phreakz told me that healers would not be needed soon and sadly apart from healing in combat we are now told that we can only do base buffs because Agios is parked in apk and available to several people. That is obviously not the only bot as many are appearing in apk now

I am (as is Lochy) a damn good cleric and I can buff a full group sufficiently for combat in rvr or xp and keep them all alive too.

I know for a fact that Mythic are going to ban bots and that can't happen soon enough for me because we will have no clerics if it continues apart from bot ones.

I don't play rvr anymore apart from retaking our keeps until the bot crap stops.

I love RVR tho and it really gives me a buzz to kill the enemy but I can't face it knowing that I will be insulted when I have ported and be told my buffs (30+ 13) aren't good enough cos some grey bot is in the corner with 49 in enhanc.

get lost the sad bot people cos your days are numbered !

I also very sadly met that 48 level cleric who cannot be bothered to level anymore purely because of bots It's too damn sad for me ;(

roll on the day they are banned...I will go back to RvR and do a lot more for my realm.
