Cisco UCS platform

Wow,

The more I work with Cisco UCS the more I love it. Have 5 chassis here with a mixture of blades. Today myself and Zarjazz (more him) built a NAS server running on a C210 rack server for the blades to use for ESXi 5. (I need to spec out a proper SAN).

Here is a screenshot of our ESXi platform (the beginning), remember it is only 5 blades and I am just short of 8 gig of ram from a terabyte (will fix that tomorrow and bring more blades online).

Scary thing is I can already see myself using all the memory in no time at all. At least we have free RAM slots

Hehe, funny thing is that you need to request it from me before you get it Now, we need to work on the cisco rack server C460 I believe, the one I showed you today in the book, 4 of them fully populated would do nicely.

Update, got about 90% of the UCS platform running ESXi now:


Have 6 UCS rack servers to convert at a later date (they are being used for other things). Anyhow, think this will be enough for my pr0n empire for the time being....
