[radar detector]

Well I'd like to first introduce myself, I am the radar detection unit.
I won't give too much away about myself, what guild I am in etc - as I don't want to be found out of course.
I would like to let you people know that I set up my radar for passive use - that is, to find out who is using a radar.
I don't use it to gain advantage over the enemy, and will never announce inc enemy - unless they are in clip/view range.
Don't really care if people want to flame me, I didn't do this to even the odds, or to make myself uber RR10 - I did it to find out once and for all who is cheating.
Although NP are a good guild and have some good players, I'm afraid that they are the most blatant users - that is, to a person who can see them out of clip range.
They use the advantage very well - and sometimes rather than run head on into an oncoming group - they will run around the back, hence the reason why most people think they got jumped.
Also seen them avoid us because they know we are running into an Alb zerg, then sandwich us from behind and mop up the remaining albs.
The tools for cheating are still out there - and are still working, its spoiling the game for lots of people - and I want GoA to understand this.
I'm not saying that all NP use radar, but there are obviously members - and the rest of the group knows who these people are. To deny using it is bare faced lying...
I'm looking into a way to record video from Excalbur (Radar Program) which is running on my other machine...so look out people. Excalibur doesn't give the name of the enemy, just states their race, and if they are wearing epic armour their class -
but I will post said videos as soon as I find a decent program and you will find that majority of 'suspicious' users are mids.

we all suspect NP cheat anyway, to get jumped from behind by them 9 times outta 10 cannot just be coincidence, some hard proof would be nice tho to back up peoples suspicions.

Will be interested to see what happens. A guy did this on US sites too - not sure what came of it. TBH I personally wouldn't have a problem with someone using radar purely for these purposes - the minute you start gaining rps though through using it's game over, so to speak. Suggest you try not to group while using it - the guy in the US tested it by running solo.

Uhm. Tonight around midnight GMT a full guildgroup of BL was out. We were headed to mmg when we got word in the chat that NP was moving out from mpk. So instead of taking the right zonewall route (when facing mmg) I broke off to the left went high up on the left zonewall, doged the worms , crossed that little gap in the leftzonewall before it goes up again and reaches all the way to mmg. We took a position there, in view of mmg but WAY out of the clip range and completely out of the way of the normal mid travel lane to amg. We were even so high back that we were out of view a bit by the wall itself not to mention the trees. And I figure to get in our clip range you had to be at least at start of the zonewall slope. The group decided on not moving down to mmg but to let NP pass since there was no way in hell or maybe a 1% chance that they would head up to our position and if they did it would be at least a clear indication of the use of radar. Pretty much the entire group agreed that it would be at least suspicious if they headed for us there.

5 mins go bye ... all of a sudden Nolby pops up into clip range charging straight for us in a direct line from the mmg gate to where we are, fire insta mezz (we were all still goign LOL out of disbelief that they made it so obvious) and got chopped down in like 30 seconds. (with us still laughing)

The np excuse on IRC was "we headed up there to rest" ... Right, when piggs can fly i suppose. I Know its not proof that you use radar but it is as close as proof as we will get using the means we have. I just wish dev would give 8 players the ability to hide under the map and track all incoming on it as this is getting plain rediculous.

Players such as the starter of this thread taking the matters into their own hands should be a VERY clear signal to GOA they should do something about radar cheaters.

Mythic has ways to detect radar users, GOA should adopt these ways.

That tree patch is one of the usual checkpoints when taking right route. And exactly for the reason that people rest there.

accusing ppl for cheating /using radar is very serious, before accusing ppl u should be 100% sure with proof , and I see no proof here?

and yeah some ppl might use radar, but sometimes ppl also forget there´re alot of stealthers in emain. who actually can /send (name) "fg hib headed SW dir from mmg" for instance.

i actually think i main poster CAN make vids of mid/hib or ALB grp doin that reguler it would be pretty solid proof . some fucker is using it, i aint pointing finger or accusing folks, it MIGHT be just good scouting. but how often do you meet the likes of NP head on ? they nearly always get you from behind , some peeps might say thats coincidence, some might say it aint , and as peeps said aboveunless hard proff is given nobody will get banned,

I would wage money on 1 thing. Tell us in one months time all the players you have discovered cheating and who you have provided evidence to GOA and subsequently got banned.

I can predict the number will be 0. (or maybe 1 if you get banned)

like has been said before there are loads of scouts about emain now with the increase in stealthers

in fact it was mentioned this week that mid has significantly more stealthers in emain than hib???

Woudl this not explain why NP are doing so well as these fellow realmmates can send of say on alliance the position of the eneemy

and about the NP gankin u at the tree area

I always send my shade up into the trees there to rest or to sit if im going to get a beer

If I was to use radar to detect other radar users, I'd ask GOA for their approval in a private mail and not post about it here. If I found any proof of radar users, I'd send that proof to GOA in a private mail and not start a flamewar vs some guild here.
