Character database ?

If you make your account inactive, how long will GOA keep your characters in their database?

My friend havnt played for some time now and his Runemaster Sasha is deletet from database.

I've head that its ½ year ?

I am almost certain that they leave characters indefinitely, so your friend ought to be able to activate the account and be up and running without any problem.

it's 6 months, check the FAQ, RightNow or whatever...

they don't delete chars like mythics. i had a us acc, didn't play it from 07.2002, but when i activated it 02.2003 it still had chars. and other friends with us accs had same things, but even longer (like 7-8 months)

i deleted a 31 warden by accident (dont ask) and 5 months later when i could b arsed, i asked RightNow if i could have it back.. and they said no :|.. (more like, we cant find your char in the database.. ) pah @ RightNow

well seems to me that if you didn´t want it back until 5 months after that char really wasn´t important to you, but that´s ratheroff topic

we´re not talking about player deleted chars but chars on inactive accounts and when these chars may or may not be deleted by GOA

all deleted chars were lost after SI got added

Some patch changes remove the backed up characters required for restoration of deleted characters, but that is for deleted characters.

I double-checked for you....

Under normal circumstances, assuming the character is not deleted, it will remain in the database indefinitely....
