Its no different from anywhere else and your place is worse than ours the times i have been. You will always get people leave 5 or 10 minutes early to avoid traffic ect. And watching it on the TV does not do justice to the noise inside the emirates but i was not there last night to see how bad it was or was not. And i also will not take abuse from someone who supports a team that play crowd noises though the PA system when it gets to quiet :)

I have never left a game early and would not have left yesterday but i can see why some would the game was over after 11 minutes.

The arse fans were leaving with 30 mins to go though

So if Ramos is coming to United, will that mean Ronaldo goes the other way? :ninja:

but also ribery coming to united remember, along with god knows how many other big name players (ie kaka already been mentioned also)

Now i looked at that red card/penalty many more times. Howard stated it wasnt a penalty as the keeper got the ball before going through the player... everyone here agreed (even though i said i understood why penalty given). Well can now say that fletcher is a sending off/penalty because he connected with fabregas after he connected with the ball. It just hypocritisy, I would have supported the "ok maybe a penalty" theory if it hadnt been rammed down by the media recently it dont matter what happens after you get the ball

Arsenal have some of the worse home support going. It must hurt like hell for such a young squad to hear 60k people stop making noise, and then even worse, showing such a lack of faith in them that they leave early.

that might be bad, however they're also constantly boo'ing at their own players if it doesn't go their way. I can understand why Eboue has been shit for just about 2 years. There's a lot of pressure when every man and his dog screams at you.

Yes all 60000 fans walked out with 30 miutes to go? And like i said i can see why its not something i would ever do but by that point the game was done.

Well obivously soze 'didn't see it.'

Thats not what i said i said your fans do it too as do most stadiums where its a pain in the arse to get away from.

The games Eboue got booed he was shocking and he admitted it and since then when he puts the graft in he gets a great reaction from the crowd, the only other player i have heard get a hard time this year is Bendtner and that was not as bad. And again i doubt we are the only team where the crowd sometimes get out of order.

Still, it didn't seem to motivate him at all. He looked like someone who didn't want to play football for a long time.

no, probably not. As I said before in this thread, I don't watch a whole lot of english football. It is however, the only fans I've seen go against their own players in PL. Whether the others does it or not, doesn't really matter. It's still a bit out of order.

Bendtner deserve everything he gets. I know he's young but he's complete shit and then goes on in the press about how he is your best striker and will be the worlds greatest player.

On the other hand you could say it was just the glory hunters who were leaving, and the fans remained! :)

I was disappointed with the arsenal fans leaving... but to be fair if you saw wenger on the bench he had given up so early himself that you cant blame the fans. Wenger didnt even try to inspire his team, just stuck his head in his hands and pratically cried.

4 years without a trophy and the gap between the big 3 and Arsenal getting bigger. How long left for Wenger?

To be fair to Wenger and Arsenal, I think the signing of Arshavin was a massive step forward. If they can hold on to their key players and buy one or two more players then they should be okay.

Even Mr "I didn't see it" said that it was a harsh decision and that it should not have been a red. Not one TV pundit or sports show has said it was the correct decision, but that's okay, Lethul thinks it was a red.

Same old, same old. Weren't you saying this last year?

The ref agrees with me!

"Italian referee Roberto Rosetti had a fine match and can justify in law the penalty he gave after Darren Fletcher brought down Cesc Fabregas.

When commentators and former players say: ‘He got the ball, it can’t be a foul,’ they are wrong.

Even though Fletcher got a slight touch on the ball, Rosetti felt it was impossible for the Manchester United midfielder to avoid taking his opponent in the follow-through. Therefore, he had no option but to dismiss the Scot."

Been reading articles, opinions and players views on the first leg of our game that basically say we are the evil tyrants of anti-football and that it would be a travesty for football if we go through.

What are people's problems? Do they expect us to play open football where Barcelona will beat us every time? They seem to think they have a god given right to have free space so they can score loads of goals like they do against weak times ala Lyon, Bayern and Madrid.

Sorry Barcelona, we have a manager who knows what tac tics are and we are going to use them as much as possible to win. Fuck your pretty football. It's your own fault you didnt score last week because you didn't committ enough players foward and always had 4-5 players back, ready to double up and close down our players as soon as we got the ball, forcing us to play even more defensively.

Feelt good to say weak team about Madrid didn't it? :D

The media's favorite team just need something to blame if they don't go through. Chelsea is playing exactly like you should play to beat barca imo, and hopefully the exact way Liverpool would've played them :)

hang on, hang on... isnt this what i said last week and got told im talking shit because the keeper touched the ball.. yet i argued because the keeper had no way of getting the touch on the ball and not taking carrick out on the follow through it could rightly be a penalty????

also, where did you get that from... because the way it written that isnt from the referee's mouth but just saying he can justify it because of that.

edit:
It seems that graham poll said it from a quick search (though maybe wrong), therefore that may not be the reason behind the refs decision. Once more it just posturing by someone that isnt the man that made the decision. But wonder where poll was last week when webb said he made a mistake.

Was Graham Poll ye, found it on a swedish football blogg who argued about the penalty :p So maybe it wasn't directly from the ref. Sorry :(

im not worried about it lethul, just supports the original view of mine that i was told was wrong... still think the sending off was harsh though even if he thought it was a penalty the sending off was harsh as he did win the ball.. ok by all intentions it was a red card if he felt it was a foul but would have made sense to just book him as he won the ball and so the player was forced away from the goal. . . many ways wish fletch didnt bother doing the right thing and let fab go through

haha, you mean he contradicting himself with what he previously said? or is this the hypocritical refereeing decisions where keepers can get away with things players cant (as well as be award freekicks because someone jumped within 50 foot of them)

THinking towards tonights match... can see it going one of two ways.

1) Chelsea getting the first goal and winning 1-0
2) Barcelona getting first goal and chelsea needing to attack resulting in a 3-1 (or 4-2) win for barca
