"We are pleased that the Premier League have stepped up to the plate and are discussing changes that would improve the development of the game at the highest level in this country.

"We have made it clear that it is not Government's job to run football but to challenge the game on issues that are in the public interest and we will continue to do that as part of our ongoing dialogue."

I hate this tosh telling 120 players who were not good enought that now they are will not improve the development of the game its will set it back. Its one thing Platini trying to fuck us over but now this twat he is prolly a spuds fan who knows its the only way they will ever be top four.

I can see it from one point of view, but from the other the big 4 (imo) ruins english league, the money doesnt filter down through the leagues, viewing wise it is boring and predictable, there is a huge huge gulf between 4th and 5th which isn't good.

I have no problem with the FA giving out all the money for the premiership out equaly between the 20 clubs thats fine. But Arsenal played 16+ games in this years champions league why should Stoke get money from that.

Biggest problem i have though is people think making it 6 english players will change the league. Man U and Chel$ki will still buy the best english players Arsenal will still sign youngsters and the other 5 players at the big four will still be better than the other 5 everywhere else. All it will do is lower standards and decrease the money spent on the league so the small clubs will get less and less.

On the other hand the injuries might be a blessing to Barca? Now they will actually have 4 defenders instead of 2 defenders + 2 defending midfielders :)

Since United is probably one of the most potent offensive side they have faced so far this year it can be a good thing :p

Dude, just stfu.

Will you stop calling me dude ... it stopped being cool when you were 15, so about two years ago :m00:

The defender was shifting his bodyweight, it is pretty hard to do without moving your arms.

The better team won and it will make for a much better final than another 0-0 and penalty fest.

Thats true, the money earnt from CL/FA Cup etc should not be spread about, and the 6 english player rule is beyond a joke, the way it is at the moment is perfect in my opinion, it's just the fact that english players just aren't as good as there younger foreign counterparts, english players demand more money/lack the work ethic, that a foreign youth from say Ghana would have.

You do realise last year was 1-1?

utd in good position at the moment, but we got to play arsenal still and need to get a result, after the embarressment caused it wouldnt surprise me if they try to kick a few our players about (namely ronaldo).... I hope arsenal are above that but you never know.... want the result against City and Arsenal so we can forget about the Hull match and rest a couple players.

Have the death threats started towards the referee yet, as happened last time chelsea got owned by a ref?

shush, that was to cover it up the conspiracy. It was all part of it and the ref would have disallowed any more goals for chelsea. The referee is a :ninja: .

Bosingwa now decided to get himself banned from at least 1 european match for bringing the game into disrupute with his comments there.... so they looking at bans for:

1) Drogba - this almost a certainty
2) Ballack - depends if eufa wants to make an example of him
3) Bosingwa - for the conspiracy and thief comments.

and Chelsea will get a massive fine I am sure....

the referee was very poor, but when death threats start then people really need to take a look at theirselves. I would have the police involved right away and see how these people enjoy getting a criminal record.

edit:

oO breaking news is that man utd request eufa to overturn fletchers red card on "compassionate gounds".... if that works then i gues we will see abidal in the final as well. In terms of advantage gained man utd be better of if abidal and fletcher dont get red cards overturned... however I dont like to see players wrongly punished on such a thing

A seasons ban for Chelsea from European competition was mentioned on Sky Sports as a possibility. I can't imagine for a moment that the team then finishing fifth would get the spot but it would certainly be sweet :)

A season ban, lol you really are a retard :D

Funny how Sky decided to replay the Drogba swearing then go "sorry, apologies" like it was a mistake. And yes, it was a replay.

I don't see a great case for Abidal's card being turned over after he fouled Drogba in the box in a cynical fasion as the last man. That one should have been the red card and not to mention a penalty ;)

Just repeating what Sky Sports reported a UEFA spokesman as saying.

If you really don't think it is a possibility that UEFA ban Chelsea after (a) those disgraceful scenes at the end; (b) the continued outrage over a "bought" referee the next day and (c) UEFA top brass who have the knives out for English football then, I would suggest, YOU are the retard :fluffle:

I wouldn't argue if the gave Drogba and maybe Ballack a suspension. That would be fair enough after their outbursts, although i believe their actions are justified. They are people with emotions, not robots. Ofcourse if they do this they'll have to retire the ref who is clearly incapable.

Close! Think it was a disallowed goal and he ends up with his hands on his hips

It's the Man Utd vs Everton semi-final where Man-Utd were denied a penalty... I thought you were a football fan =)
