from what ive read on the vnboards, the resist pierce on the staff actually stacks with other resist pierces, which would mean that it is possible to get 20% resist pierce for 30 seconds every 12minutes

nop, I've read it up and resist pierce is capped at 10%, but the 10% damage bonus you get will stack up like traldor =) so said the TL at least
