It was posted in general, apparently she has serious mental issues.

If you read the story on a real news site you'll get this info.

might as well have been written in Icelandic in an ancient Mongolian script, converted into binary, been passed through cosmic microwave background encryption, partially eaten by piranhas, and shot into the stellar core of a blue giant....

i think cat is ok, as soon as any1 opens he had jumped out for sure, it is something evil to do that and not respecting animals will hardly make respect people, anyways is a minor thing compared to people who punch, kick, hit animals with bars or dogs abandoned like this video (maybe u cannot access due to explicit content)

Dogs at Galicia (Spain).

The level of the jokes in these two cat threads are a good arguement for internet sensorship!

There's a non fiction book been doing the rounds over the last year or so about this town in America I thinkw as during the last big recession. Anyway someone dumped a kitten in the book return bin and when the librarian came in the next day is was in quite bad shape but she looked after it and it became the library cat (named it Dewey...ffs, originality peoples!!)

Anyway, because of the really bad economic climate lots of folk from the town lost their jobs and would all come to the library to use the resources and they'd just sit and stay with the cat he kind of became a mascott and lived there for years. He died of something or other (but twas natural causes) after about 10 years or something and the town put up a memorial to him.

This story really has no point I just think it's quite sweet.

As for the woman who put the cat in the bin, I hope she wins a nature sightseeing trip to India, falls off her elephant and gets hunted by a tiger and the only bin in sight where she could possibly seek shelter and protection doesn't have a lid and is slightly too small for her to fit in...and the tiger eats her.

She's mentally ill, you may just be joking, but is this really the reaction people take without checking the facts?

If someone is mentally ill and goes into a school and shoots 17 kids, does it matter that they were ill or not? It's a shit thing to do no matter what your state of mind is.

Yes, it matters whether they were ill or not as to how they are judged for their crimes and what their punishment is.

Not that the great unwashed outrage brigade that seems to have assembled here over the years would agree, but it's a good thing that none of them probably vote.

That statement is too general. Most people who are mentally ill retain Theory of Mind. Some however do not. If Theory of mind is not present then actions are beyond the control of that person as they are incapable (even if only temporarily) of recognising the consequence of any given action.

But then mental disturbance is the automatic blame avoidance for anything like this.

Kill 17 kids, shrink will say "he/she are mentally disturbed"
Judge "How do you know"
Shrink "Well they killed 17 kids, so they must be... btw who do I send the bill to?"

If she is mentally disturbed enough to put a cat in a bin on a whim then she should be locked up until she is deemed safe, as who knows what else she could do, small child in the microwave, axe wielding spree at B&Q...etc

And the doctor who is willing to sign her off as safe can have her staying at their house for a few weeks, cat/babysitting

putting a cat in a bin hardly warrants being jailed or given death threats

It seems to, I think the world would be a lot safer if we just locked up all these who think this woman is evil incarnate for putting a cat in a bin.

From the report on the news tonight her mental disturbance was she was upset because her father is in hospital.... wow, omg excuses anything :m00:

What is a suitable punishment for her then?

World would also be a safer place if we locked up people who automatically seek to find excuses for someone just being a plain bitch...
