CASE 39
Director: Christian Alvart
Starring: Ian McShane, Bradley Cooper, Renee Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland
A severely traumatised young girl is the key to a nerve-shredding horror experience.
Emily Jenkins (Renée Zellweger) is a hard-working family services social worker juggling a huge backlog of heart-breaking cases. When Case 39 lands on her desk, Emily is shocked to discover that the parents of a troubled ten-year-old girl called Lilith (Jodelle Ferland) seem to be trying to kill her. Arriving just in the nick of time, Emily rescues Lilith from her home and takes her in. With her dangerously unstable parents safely behind bars, Lilith begins to show signs of recovery under Emily's care. But then very bad things start to happen. Emily's boyfriend (Bradley Cooper) is found brutally murdered in his apartment and a terrifying, ghoulish assailant starts tormenting the girls in the middle of the night. With their lives in increasing danger, it becomes clear that Case 39 is far more horrifying than Emily ever imagined.
