Bod, I still prefer the E36, it looks more "poised". I think the new 3 looks too much like the new 5. The old 3 and 5 were distinct - 3s (decent ones, 328s, M3s, etc) for well heeled sporty MDs, 5s for fat executives. They're a bit too close together now, and the new M3 suffers in comparison to the new M5.
