Was looking at the career builder and forums and most rank 40 templates tend to have only 3-4 actual abilities selected.
In effect, you probably end up getting 1 ability every 10 or so levels. This seems like a pretty long period between upgrades.
It isn't like in daoc where at least you get upgraded versions of the same spell as you progress. This means that you would ding and suddenly you get a brand new ability that doesn't have multiple upgrade versions.
Do people tend to aim directly for those abilities that they have decided they want and then onto the next one? For example, put all points into one line until you get an ability and then put points into another line to bring it up until you get an ability in that line?
