no, blue smoke means it's burning oil - usually indicating worn seals around the pistons.

might b a bit late .........but ........
drive at the same speed on a flat road and take note of the engine sound ........then drive up a hill and keep it the same speed ( if u can) ......if u notice a fall in engine sound ....( a knocking sound ) ......then it points 2 ur big .....or main bearings ........that is what holds ur crankshaft and conrods ....( then pistons ) .......2 the engine block ..........when and if they give up the ghost .........it will smash through the side of ur engine ......then its case 4 a new lump ....or new car i know happ 2 me when i was in blackpool ........and i live in essex
might allso b a simple case of retart or advance timing .......get ur self a book on ur jam jar and time it up ........not 2 hard 2 do ....

SG i had a similar problem earlier this year and it turned out to be a problem with fuel float valve inside the carb.

Well, cleaning the Spark Plugs did fuck all.
Everything was OK when i left the house to where i was going, so i thought "Ah good, problem sorted" now, when i was coming home, everything started getting dodgy, the Car started to get Sluggish in 4th Gear, so i dropped down to 3rd, everything was 50/50 at that point, then Low and behold, a fucking Milk Truck thing come out of a Side Road, so i had to drop down to 2nd coz i was only doing about 20mph, Car was again very Sluggish.
I just got to my home when my Car did the same as the other time, just wouldnt budge. I turned my Car off and left it for about oooh 2minutes or so, and restarted it, and it worked fine.
Once again i smelt petrol

Sounds to me (although no expert) like your choke is not switching off and is leaving the mixture too rich and hence "flooding" your engine.
That would be the area I would be looking anyway, that would explain why when starting out everything is fine as the choke is on and giving you that extra rich mix that is needed for a cold engine. It then appears to not be switching off so that as the engine warms up the mixture is still rich and not buring off as it should causing sluggish movement/acceleration.
Then when you switch the engine off, you won't be able to restart it as the cylinders are full of rich mixture which wont burn, you would have leave the engine for a good 1/2 hour to an hour for the mixture to slowly drip into the sump and then restart the car.
Just some thoughts

You could possibly have a broken cylinder and a cracked head in the engine,
but the best advice possible is..
TAKE IT TO A REPUTABLE GARAGE AND LET THEM HAVE A LOOK AT IT
normally if funny shit happens with your car, you take it to a specialist who knows what he's talking about.
but i think TdC hit the nail on the head there anyhow.

I know matey, I saw that photo and headed straight out to the car wash on Tuesday, then decided I couldn't be arsed and came back home I really need to look after my cars more tbh.
Is the scooby black? If it is it belongs to an absolute cock sucker of a prick who I hate more than anyone else EVER in the world EVER, he puts me in a bad mood for a week after I see him.
There may be some jobs going actually, I will speak to my boss tomorrow and let you know.
