Right listen up peeps
Firewall settings are whats causing the Vista issues and could also be whats causing your xp issues
It`s more then likely yur firewall has 2-3 stamps of itself causing it to crash so firstly clean up all stamps and try again (what i mean by stamps is example: login.exe, camelot.exe, patch.bin)
Also after every patch the Camelot.exe changes and some firewall set ups require you to allow access otherwise you get an instant ld just before you reach the character login screen
Also for Vista users you need to set firewall permissions for the camelot/login/patch otherwise the vista firewall crashes causing yur game to crash
I can`t gaurantee this will work for everyone but i suggested it to a guild m8 the other day and he`s running on vista as i type this with no more problems
