Right you know when you post, there's a little box to your left with Smilies in it? There's a link at the bottom of that box saying Get More. It's that.

Oh and to get that box, you have to have smilies enabled or something in your profile options.

I can't remember exactly what I did to get those there, but I did something in the options. :)

Hmm can't see a box with smilies, i click the link down the bottom.

Ok go to Profile, Edit Options, scroll down to Other Options, and make sure Use vBCode quick links says YES!

Then you'll have the smilies at the side of where you type, and a Get More link :)

I can't believe this, I'm so sad. I've dialled up on my old HP something or other P166 pile of crap just to check these messages.

Cant' go play cos this machine can't handle it :(

Yeah tis fecked. I gotta format it tomorrow. Unless anyone can help? You have about 12 hours to respond with answers..

It was freezing in game but thats fixed that I think. Reinstalled drivers, a friend messed about with the settings and such, and it was working fine. Went away for the weekend (with pc), played all weekend, got home and it took ages to boot up, froze a few times. Eventually booted up but (I think cos it may have been jolted in the car or something) now I can't get on the internet.

I use Virgin broadband. Uninstalled the (ugly) Alcatel modem, all software, etc. Reinstalled it all. When I click the button to connect it just doesn't. No error, no "not responding" thing, no "cannot connect you" thing. I called them and there's no problems, and if there were I'd at least get a message telling me so. I did think it was just ebing slow but after half hour of looking at the damn dial up window and clicking the button a few more times I decided it was fecked.

So I tried reconfiguring it manually. I get to the bit that says "connect to the internet with broadband.." etc and it's greyed out and I can't do it. Only option is the 3rd one that tells me my broadband connection is already installed and working.

I've reinstalled windows (XP btw) over the top and I've run check disk wotsit. Ohh and when I right click in My Computer to check properties it says something about a winsta.dll error - can't remember it all but I have that file in my computer - dunno what it does.

So, erm, I have no idea why I am telling you all this, apart from maybes it will save me having to format if someone can help. Oh yeah, and I really don't fancy 2 days worth of downloading Anarchy Online patches :/

Hmm think I'll post this in the tech forums too.. there might be a geek out there who can help :)

Aww nice. I had some crackers with cream cheese on as I have no proper food. :(

And I read my IKEA magazine while I backed up all my files ready to format tomorrow :(

Think I'll go sleeps now :(

sorry my usual solution is just format c :(. IF your hard disk is around 10 gig try to create a 5 gig HD for windows and rest for other stuff. So when you format you wont have to re dl everything atleast. Off course windows wont see you have installed all kind off things, but atm every game i play is still working allthough windows doesnt know its installed :).

ouch half past 1 here :eeks6: wish i could help with formatting but other than the info i gave above i cant help :(.

Awww well I posted on the tech forum and some kind gentleman asked for further information and it looks like he might be able to help, so hopefully wont' have to format.

But if I do, I've already backed up everything onto CD so won't take long when I get in from work.

On the plus side, I'll be back in the morning spamming again - providing the boss is still off sick :)

nn shy till tomorrow :p, btw remember next time to make partitions off your hd if you havent already ;). Like i said it will save you ALOT off time if you need to format windows :)
