I haven't either. He's too shy to post it because he's been strutting around for months about what a don he is and won't produce the proof to 'teh panel'.
Actually I haven't, I've hardly posted in months, calling everyone 'gay' and 'ugly' yesterday was humour dear, lightening the mood instead of going on and on about the same 2-3 things in a football match.

Oh and all the people who I like have seen my picture, I'm not about to post it to prove anything to anyone. Plus ofcourse if I put my picture on the net, then all my obsessive fans would track me down, and I'm not sure I can take any more adoration. (HINT HINT - thats humour again!)

Does anyone know what was actually wrong with the penalty spot?

The pitch was sand based and the pressure placed on during match/penalties caused it to collapse, essentially they were shooting off a mound of loose sand.

Portugal obviously won as they play beach football over there ;)

Can't see how the ref could have given the goal though tbh, goalie wasn't able to jump, bit harsh but would have taken a ref with balls the size of a small planet to have given it. Whether the player intended to impede the goalie or not his arm was preventing the goalie from jumping so ref really had to disallow it.
QUOTE]

So if the balls in the air players have to get out of the way and let the keeper get it? The keeper made the mistake and got out of position, he realised he couldn't get it so fell on the floor. Ref was a joke all match, portugese played well, get sven and his george grahamesque tactics out so we can play some football.

Not at all, the ref was totally out of position due to the initial header, terry just stood his ground and campbell jaunched himself off terry, the keeper couldn't get near the ball because of terry. He wasn't held back, he was totally out of position. Terry had his arms up, but you are allowed your arms up when jumping, it's how you gain height, the ref totally bottled it as he didn't want to let portugal lose in the dying minutes. It was a very bad decision, especially as he was in a bad position miles away and the nearby linesman flagged for a goal. At the least the ref should have halted play and consulted his assistant.....

We wuz robbed!

Oh and Beckham was attempting to put the ball in orbit, not score a goal at all, unfortunately, his knowledge of physics is hampered by only having 4 brain cells and a small ball is cheese in his head.

Beckham shouldn't even have been on the pitch... He's had a mare all tournament, been off the pace and not his usual inspirational self. Gerrard should have stayed on as he was doing more. It's amazing how quickly the team had been relying on rooney as a playmaker this tournament. As soon as he was off we reverted to long ball hoofing it up the pitch tactics with noone tracking back into the open positions to pick it up. Our midfield was a joke. It's a shame the Figo couldn't hit a shot on target because portugal deserved to actually win that outright and in the end were only given the game by crap refereeing.

the fact that everything fell apart when rooney was taken off kinda shows how much england depended on him :p

though it sucks that england went out since everyone will conveniently forget about it now :p

We depend on a decent manager and decent tactics, not Rooney. Rooney going off did not force us to sit back in our own half and let them come onto us the whole match. Same thing would have happened even if Rooney was on the pitch, either Sven needs to sort out his tactics or he needs to be replaced.

We did the same against France and Rooney was on the pitch the whole match.

Yep, that's just hilarious. Pointless aswell though as Portugal and England didn't both need a 2-2 draw to qualify from a group, therefore fixing that result would be pointless, wouldn't it?

excuses excuses... :p

If you look at the stats, 2-2 draws are highly unlikely

so portugal-england was an unlikely match?

(thats you im quoting btw)

Yep, 2-2 draws are unlikely, considering the amount of other results that are possible in a football match, do tha math, idiot. And btw, it wasn't 2-2, it was 2-1. :)

Stop following me into every thread and quoting every single thing that you can to try to have a pop at me on, it really is pathetic and I think you need to grow up a bit, find a hobby and stop acting like a stupid retarded fuckwit. :) For someone who apparently doesn't like me, you do show a lot of interest in almost everything I post and everything I do on the forum, beginning to wonder about you. Funny how you're up so late aswell, must be a scandinavian holiday or something, I thought you'd have school in the morning?

If i was to respond to every post you make, I'd have to sit here 24 hours a day m8, just like u!

The ref made the right call, England went out - tough luck but whatcha gonna do?

In your case, whine about a conspiracy 24 hours a day on an internet forum.

- and you're calling me pathetic? I'm just trying to make you realize that you're a moron, nothing else.

Almost exactly what I was going to post....mainly because it was what actually happened.
If the referee is unsure or unsighted,as he clearly was, then he should consult his assistant who had an unobstructed view of the incident.

We still played atrociously though. :(

Probably the best match ive seen, not only because portugal won, but also the incredible dramatic development, and feels so great to have the *whistles* English out ;)
and in most situations, England was outplayed. Well deserved Portugal, now things will be most interesting :)

K how exactly do you stand your ground and jump at the same time?

Yep your allowed to have your hands up while jumping, however as the goalie vaguely attempted to go up terry was coming down with his arms across the goalie's shoulder. Goalie couldn't jump even if he had been able to, so ref blew.

Whether linesman saw an offence or not doesn't count, its whether the ref felt he saw something that matters. Ref didn't have the advantage of a load of action replays to be so sure of his call, from where he was standing he prob saw terry coming down on the goalie and the goalie falling.

When it comes down to it England have profited from ref decisions in the past, so bit lame to whine about them when they supposedly suffer from one (though I think the ref made a fair call). Wasn't even as if they deserved to win, on the balance of play the Portuguese were much the better team.

As for the ref making a shockingly bad decision or anything like that in any match I wouldn't feel qualified to damn any ref in such a situation, not having been a ref in an international recently. Easy to pontificate with the advantage of unlimited replays. Though even then I'd say you got it wrong.
