Well, something that fits in with the current look of the site. However, I may be making some changes to it though over time, though there's no big rush for that.

not sure if we can change any graphics on there but i belive we need a new banner thats for sure,that current ones been up since the begining.
I think if we wanted to change the banner or something like that we're going to have to mail the BW team with it or something.

Ummm, I was kinda bored so I pinched the main logo off the BWEFL site and kinda jazzed it up a bit?

Simple stuff I know but it will replace the existing logo exactly and wont change the overall theme of the site, see what u think...

I was kinda thinking along the lines of a warp core (yeah I know.. REALLY original!) hehehe

I quite like this new logo but I can't added it as anything I upload or any pages I edit on Neville isn't saved on the server.

Teah it's becuase they don't like people messing with the site image/layout wise etc thats just incase someone leaves on bad terms and decides to ruin the whole site.

The only thing I can think of doing is a sister site just to complement it.Then people can choose which site to goto,I'm not fussed about having to put down info twice if it comes to that

That's crazy if that's true, the site could do with a bit of sprucing up and if you can't edit the bloody HTML of the pages then you can't even change the logo FFS. What's the point being the webmaster of a site you're not allowed to edit.

In that case a sister site might be in order and thanks for the offer Bull33tPr00f, I might take you up on it.

if you can upload the new image with same name as old maybe there's no need to change HTML...

I aggree thhough that is is useless to have a webmaster if he can't do his job... anyway, as it is starman who owns the domain maybe he would agree on redirecting it somewhere else if asked nicely (couple bottles of scotch should do the trick)

Yeah I hope he can too, I've tried uploading a new image but it doesn't appear in the directory list. I'm glad you agree as I don't intend to make drastic changes to the site or leave BWEFL, not that I would screw up the site anyway as that's just pathetic. It would be safe if I had full access.....honest!

I suppose another reason why they decided to use that system was that it's didn't take an experienced person to post news etc bearing in mind that it was only gamers running the league in the first place i don't think that they thought we would want the job of upkeeping the site that much.

TBH the best thing to do is get in contact with bigfoot (email) bigfoot@barrysworld.com and ask him what we can do with the site image/ideas wise.if he says well we don't want people putting random images up without our approval then thats what we have to do unfortunatly.

as for a sister site they have no reason to stop us from doing so,it's not going to damage BW's credability after all.....................unless we put porn on it lol

As i explained in a mail to Napalm (sent after reading this thread) i've been burned a couple of times with people taking on the sites thinking they are l33t w3b h4x0rs and leaving it in a mess.

Also take into consideration the fact that the site needs to retain a similar feel to the other league sites, changing the odd logo here or there or adding a bit of functionality that might not exist is fine, wholesale changes are not.

so would doing a sister site be o.k. then? I'm willing to keep the main site upto date and i'm fairly sure that nap will be as well.but tempy is an excellent site creator and it would be such a waste not to let him do an BWEFL sister site so i'm hoping that you will agree to this he has so many ideas that he has done on the EFF site which would make life a damn sight easier than what the current site offers i.e. the league standing etc.
I personally always found that the EFF site contain so much more info on league standing/fixtures etc than the BWEFL site did so it would be a welcome addition in my book

well... my standard as far as leagues site can go would be a mix of EFF and clanbase... EFF for clarity and clanbase for infos and DEMOS... I never heard of a game where an admin couldn't record a demo because he didn't know the 2 commands needed in the console in clanbase

Thanks for your kind comments widdy. Just wondering, if we could do this sister site, what would be on it? Also, I have the feeling that it won't be allowed but oh well I'll have to make the most of what is available. Still though, I know that the BWEFL site needs to tie in with the other BW league sites, but can there be absolutely no room for any flexability?
