That happened to us twice, dear god twats, everything went ok, no answer for 2 weeks, then they decide not to sell. I mean, OMFG !1111111

And its not like its not cost you anything, I think we wasted about a grand on the two houses...

That wouldn't work, the vendor hasn't actually agreed to sell his house to Scoobs at any time. He has only agreed in principle, subject to contract, that contract being the one Scoobs would have exchanged had the sale been approved.
