No no, I understand all that. What I fail to understand is why Toht and tris insist on moving the goalposts every 3 posts or so.

Beauty, hotness etc is all subjective. We all have different opinions so the poll and the question (in whatever form it is now) is pointless.

You fail to understand something that isn't happening, and as such, it's rather hard to understand it.

The point has stayed the same, all the dangdoo day.

Beauty and hotness have a "general scale", as explained by the pictures bloody well on page 1.

My and tris-s posts have been nothing but clarifying to people, who want to make this about "eye of the beholder" or some other sentimental bull, that this isn't a thread about semantics.

Yes we all have differing views, but how can you say your GF is hotter than someone else if you don't know half of the "subjective" parts of one of the "contestants".
In order to actually compare you have to remove all the bits that you don't know about one of them, leaving you with just looks if your comparing someone to a model you only have a picture of.

Now I find it unlikely that many people actually date the perfect 10. It's much more normal that they find a 9, add it to a 10 personality and end up with a 10. They then look at a picture of a 10 and go, my GF is hotter than that, when the truth is that to them and their subjectiveness it's not true if they could actually be objective about it.

No, what you and tris have done is try to impose your views on others by taking away the things that they use to measure beauty or hottness.

As I think is quite apparent over the 5 pages or so, different people use different things to judge beauty there is no "general" scale.

This means, very much so, general concensus, taking away personality and such, outlook and outlook alone.

There is no imposing, there is just people who try to come to a thread adn bring views into it that don't effect the discussion.

If people were to say "if they like brunettes or blondes" it would be equally out of the discussion.

There is a general, very clear, "hot or not" scale that every f'cking person uses.

You can't see personality from tits.

And yes, i do take away peoples opinions on hotness and beauty if they are based on non-relevant views of the topic at hand. Personality, discussion topics, f*cking favorite movie...has nothiing to do with this.

So if by using your logic, if someone rates their girlfriend as a 7 +, they aren't going to find anyone to be better than them. So for that person the answer would be yes. But how do you know that person is basing their judgement on tohts "face value" hottness scale? Sub-consciously their decision will be based on lots of factors for their girlfriend and only a picture for the other bird.

Aye, and then they are not judging on a GENERAL scale. They bring in factors out of the equation. Such as personality etc.

That's a whole different ballpark and noone here is saying "you shouldn't have personal taste".
