To me, the girlfriend is more beautiful than all of them but there's nothing wrong in watching a couple of cheap pairs of tits - especially when there are free and they don't slap you for looking!

Is she really?

She has more adorable qualities, more "sweet" features, and all those "blinded by love" things ofcourse, but can one really say that "my girlfriend is more beautiful" when it's clear that someone is "hotter"(on a general 1-10 scale, not personal taste scale tris-).

I would have to say no. Girlfriend doesn't warrant beauty over all.

You CAN put people on a general scale of hotness etc beauty, no matter how "in love" one is.

Just that there's variation in the general scale numbers, two 8s can't be compared, but a 4 and a 9 can.

No, you can´t. There is no such thing as general scale of beauty. You can try to find parameters like symmetry of the face, lipsize .. whatever. But still, the attempt to create a general scale is pretty much impossible.
What you *can* do is create a scale based on the sum of the individual preferences, but that´s more of a statsitic, than a general scale.

Not objectively, no.
What we would consider a 10 might be a 1 for some people and certainly IS a 1 in other cultures, countries and ethnical groups. You can set up a scale of 1-10, measuring the average acceptance of appearance. But that´s still just the result of accumulated personal preferences.

Just because YOU and ME certainly agree that the person in pic No. 2 is more attractive doesn´t mean that there is an absolute and objective factor of beauty connected to either of them. It´s just an example for my statement... it´s the accumulated result of personal preferences.
It´s the same with with art. I think the works of Picasso are beautiful, millions of people think they suck.
Beauty is not an absolute thing, it´s always connected by cultural, psychological and biological mechanimsm. Parents will always find their baby beautiful, regardless how ugly it actually is. You find young, healthy looking women beautiful, because your biological sensor tells you, that this would make a good mother for your children.
It simply isn´t absolute. All you can do is measure, how close someone/something is to the average definition of beauty in your current culture.

There is a general kind of 1-10 scale, but each of us has there own scale. Its a very personal thing really I suppose.

Me for instance.

My wife's a 10, and thats not just based on her looks but on the whole package as it were.

Nicole Kidman is probably the only woman I'd leave my wife for so she's a 10 as well, cause she's got ginger hair which scores extra for me, and she comes across as quite strong and confident, so she's the only other 10 on my list.

Kylie would rate high, but I've never seen all the fuss with Angelina Jolie so to me, she's a 5 or a 6 at best.

Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci would rate higher than Jessica Alba for me as well..



the only way you'd get a general scale is to give a biiiig list of people and get a score out of 10 (or maybe even 20 to widen the scope a bit more) from each of us and then tabulate the average score of each......

I appreciate the hotness of girls all the time, but there wouldn't be a contest in who I took home - them or the missus. The missus would win hands down.
