I've seen it twice, and enjoyed it both times! :D

Although I have to say that I got a lot more out of it at the second viewing because I was able to pay more attention to what was being said without being too distracted by what was happening on screen...

It's a very deep and clever story if you actually bother to look past the occasionally poor acting and cheesy dialogue ;)

Personally I think that having seen the Animatrix, and my background knowledge of AI and computer systems, was quite useful in aiding my understanding of what was actually going on. For me that probably made it a lot more enjoyable than it would have been had I just watched it without being aware of the complexities buried beneath the surface!

right so by quite deep you mean?

what the bit where the "program" talks about what love is??

lol its crap

especially the shit with smith and the oracle i mean come on tae fook why focus so much on them being programs and then try to say that they can have family?

imo quick way to make cash

although tonight im gonna go watch it again and see just in case i missed something

This is exactly what I mean... you're barely even scratching the surface. The bit where the program talks about what love is may be a very cheesy bit of dialogue, but it has HUGE implications when you look at the history of how the war between Man and Machine started.

This is where watching The Animatrix would help you out... Second Renaissance is pretty crap if you have a reasonable background knowledge of AI, and does require you to make a few 'leaps of faith' in terms of what is happening, but it does paint a picture of how humanity came to be where it is in the films.

From there it's up to you to look for the pattern emerging... ;)

What fight? I just saw two computer animated objects flying at each other a lot...

Even smith had crap lines in this one.

Alithiel please dont try to find how this film was deep, it wasnt...

They left a lot of half developed plots, people would touch on things then never mention them again. I think this was to get geeks analysing it, so that they could find rational explanations for why the film sucked and try to to defend it, thinking deep down that they were great for being the only one to figure it out. :p

Can anyone tell me exactly what got resolved in the end of the movie? The human race is still being used at batteries by the machines, Zion is screwed, Neo and Trinity are dead. There all in a worse position than when the very first film started.

And btw where the fuck was the other 2 agents? They didn't even appear in the movie, would of been nice to see them having a fight with Smith or something.. but noooooooooo they just vanish with no explanation as to where.

Trash.

Humans can leave the Matrix now if they want to?

Sorry but the majority of humans don't even know the Matrix exists, how can they leave it? look how long it took Neo to get a grasp of what the Matrix is.

And most of the humans we're 'corrupted' into Smith programs, surely if all the Smith program copies we're destroyed then the humans/programs he pocessed would die with him.

And if Smith was a virus or corrupted program as such that got eventually deleted, then surely other programs he infected, like the Oracle, the little girl, the chinese dude with the glasses etc, all would of be deleted at the same time.

And what about the french guy?

And more importantly, has his wife got a great pair of t**s or what ! Almost worth seeing again just for the nightclub scene with her in it :D

the bit which annoyed me .... smith copied over half the humans in the matrix (if not all? or a massive amount of them anyways) so when he gets deleted... the peoples brains wouldnt be able to cope and would die.

and alot of people didnt get the whole jesus/neo thing ... sacrificing himself cleansing the humans for their sins etc. Probly woulda been more obvious if you'd seen the animatrix stuff.

ultimately ... just because a film 'makes sense' doesnt mean it was well scripted, was decent enough film but i had such high expectations. for a funny review http://maddox.xmission.com/c.cgi?u=matrix3

oh, and im guessing that humans will be given the choice like neo was ( red pill/blue pill ) although morpheus says its dangerous to release a mind after a certain age.. and only some people are ready for it anyways *gah*

**pushes a car through the plot holes in this film**
