Does anyone know what possible environmental problems can occur from storing calcium hydroxide?? In it's aqueous form it's called Limewater. And yes I do know how to search on google I just can't be arsed to trawl through the twenty million websites that come up when I search for "effects of calcium hydroxide".

dont let it get into a water supply, cos its not very good for plants OR animuls, eg, they die.

Make sure u keep it in a solid form, its just generaly nicer that way, easier to contain n stuff...oh well...anyone know the conditions for getting a halogenoalkane from an alkene?

Hyrdated lime can evaporate to form a dust/powder which can cause silicosis/pulmonary fibrosis. That's not environmental though...
