It's alot less sombre with Jimmy gone, there was too much brooding from him on camera for my liking.

Ending of Episode One was brilliant, that's going to go places.

Missed a few eps so catching up now. Episode 4 was brilliant; been waiting to see a bit more of Al Capone.

Defo needs more Capone, even the yank audience is saying that his scenes are always amongst the best of any since the show started.

I wouldn't say it's any faster but it's brewing up some serious dark tones this season.

Yep, this season has been great in my opinion. I think it keeps getting better. In episode 8 with the big show stopper ending, its very unlike boardwalk empire and because it was so unexpected it was great.

Yeah, absolutely. Packed with tension. Didn't see the ending coming at all.

Absolutely gagging for the finale now. Part of me thinks that with everything that has happened in this series, it would be a great place to end the show for good after this next episode. I'm sure they'll come back with the goods in season 4 though.

i agree, but arent the main women in most good tv shows? the only bearable one i can think of is Carmela in the Sopranos. 2 names that particularly spring to mind are Skyler and Marie in BB.

The problem is, the characters act as impediments to the main character so we become annoyed at the roadblocks they constantly throw up to the main plot.
restraining walter/nucky/etc. in ways the audience doesn't want.

The problem with her is that she kicked Knucky in the balls at the end of Season 2 and then... "nothing"... her "side project" this season has been thoroughly boring and has amounted to... "nothing"... whilst I'm really enjoying everything else that's going on she's had little place in the show ever since she got with Knucky.
