I personally didnt find the Japanese version particularly scary, but the americanised version that they had to redo with a white cast cuz oh their *patriotic* feelings, is going to be uber shit.

Quite frankly they could have just dubbed the original imho.

Its going to be a cheap rip off, from what i've seen, same plot, same scenes, just good old white actors.

apart from that I've never really experienced movie hype. I was expecting episode 2 to be so crap that i actually enjoyed a few bits of it.

I normally see movies when they be out on VHS.

Having said that - maybe they're spending loads on the remake just because they hate asian people and feel the film needs "white-ing up".

I think Matrix is massively over hyped now, but wasnt back then. It really wasnt that good, just OK (too many plot holes for me to enjoy, and when you actually watch them "super fighting" it looks rubbish, you can really see that they aren't trying to hit each other at all).

I didnt like Fight Club either, but its an unusal film and wasnt too hyped at the time.

I liked Shawshank tho. so ner.

Spiderman dissapointed me pretty badly too.

I've seen the american re-make of the Ring and it's bollox. They've tried to mix in bits and pieces from the Ring trilogy and not just the first one but they've cocked it up entirely and made it utter wank.

I think Ring and Ring 0 (not ring 2, that's a bit wank) are great films. Well worth watching. Audition's next on my list if I ever get to BB before the next cunt rents it...

Bodhi, how can you show such good tastes only to have Blade Runner (genius) vying with Gilmore (mediocre comedy). I guess I dont "get" Adam Sandler. I thought Little Nicky was shite.

Shawshank comes across to me as a "feel good" simplistic film. 3rd best film of all time (See ch4 100 greatest films), I think not.

Die Another Day was truely dire. Goldeneye was the last solid Bond film in my opnion. Mr Brosnan is now a pot-bellied geriatric gorilla.

xXx utter wank on a very large stick as was Harry Potter.

Little Nicky is one of the worst films I've seen with Happy Gilmore being one of my favs.

Personal taste.

I agree with most of you on Godfather 3 although I did think Garcia overacted a tad ... I think he was trying to make up for Sofai Coppola's dire performance.
