Stats are okay, nice hp and nice dmg, would be great (and fit into the max dmg idea that I remember you were going for) if it had +11 CD as well.

2 of those resists is 20+ 2 is 10+ i can pick whatever atm :)

Ahem, I have an almost exactly similar temp for when the armor table changes come to Europe, but I have +11 CD instead of the last 2% melee dmg, I dont know if 7.5% more offhand chance is better or worse than 2% melee dmg.

I used a DPS calculator for Nightshades and assuming that all the formulae it uses are correct, the average DPS will be higher if you cap CD and the melee speed instead of the last 2% in melee dmg, but of course your PA and first hits will be lowered by 2% :p

It's currently set with Champ weapon as mainhand, but you can easily reconfigure it to Malice main and champ offhand, I was just playing about.

3 levi/kraken items and a Zahur's bracer :p fun, but i got all four ready and waiting in vault so I'm okay :D

Edit: added the version with Malice as mainhand, all stats are the same just weps swapped and SC pieces reconfigured.

Very nice temp indeed Ivy, but the main question is:

What is best slow offhand and better temp or fast offhand and lower on the resists?

Crocs got worse stats then champion weapon ( obviously :eek: ) but is 3.5 spd vs champ weapons 4.0 spd.

The main reason I wanna make a new temp isn't b/c my old one is all bad it's quiet good tbh, but the spd of battler is 4.1 and noticed my swings to be quiet slow :<

What you other say? crocs in off or champ weapon?

the question is not really about the template stats, versus offhand spd (if it was i'd pick offhand speed)

its more, is loosing the extra dps from having a faster offhand outwieghed by the slash debuff proc that comes from having the champ weapon. if the debuff procs, then your dps will exceed that of what was being supplied by the faster weapon. imo, both setups are more than viable.

How much does it debuff for anyway? Gs debuffs aint that impressive?

Also crocs got that qu debuff, so you could reason that qu debuff + malice 25% debuff + AH speed decrease = alot of lost DPS on ur enemy while u swing fast as hell urself.

250 qu 10% melee spd +26% haste from buff ( buffbonus ) 4.1+3.5 is like cap swing spd.

where you with same buffs and qu etc on a champ weapon would get 1.7 s / swing when dual wield ( not much of a diffrennce maybe )

I can't really tell what is the best tbh Oo

I did have an arguement for faster swing speed but then I realised I dont have diamondback in blades line, lol. so yeah, swing speed not as important now we have 3 sec window. you won't miss your hamstring etc

I was going to say however that as a pierce user right now and having a 1.55 swing speed I am very often able to do Diamondback and still get in the Hamstring, which is just, Mmm. :sex:

Edit : The slash debuff is 7% on item based resists. and it kills (brings to 0 ) all forms of casted melee resist I think.

Hmm, yah maybe u are right about the swing speed but i was under the impression you would really notice a 1.5 swing spd instead of a crapp 1.8/1.9 as it is with 4.1/4.0...not sure I'm undecided atm and can't really make up my mind.

And the crof tooth debuff is for like 50 dex/qu i think.

its 45 d/q debuff, which takes off like 2% evade chance, and nerfs the opponants dmg over time a bit, but since the reactionaries change its not as good as it once was. though still prolly worth using in a template, but to me, i prefer the malice+champ weapon, solely for the purpose of gathering impressive dmg screenshots if nothing else ^^.

Hmm its not the evade/dex that i care about but it takes off almost 50 qu wich is 4% melee spd (1% = 9 qu ), add to that some ppl dont get 10% buff, sbs dont get haste buffs, and the one most infils/sbs use is 19% ones, also add a malice proc to lower thier qu further and AH speed deacrease.

I know for exmapel that if some1 hits u fasterthen u hit him and u got about the same af, hits and cap dmg - u will end up dead :)


But i donno if that weights up the fact u can get a nice slash debuff on some1, the end rain is pointless imo since everyone uses barrels or regen pots.

Give a blade template with 10\10\10 toa bonuses, 15+ strcap, 25+ con cap, 400hp and 11cs 11cd 11blades 11stealth 3-4 env imo.

I'd get body as close to cap as I could since minstrel dds are nasty othwerwise. On ppl with poor body resists and no cl sists i do 420 dmg ever 15 s, on ppl with 30-35% resists i do like 230 / round, big diff :)

If they use a end pot mid fight then they are not hitting you for 2 rounds and if you get your enemy suddenly ooe without them realising it (drain is 25%) they will swing unstyled for a round or two, which you will have a high chance of getting an evade opening because of the lack of to hit bonus.

So it's not all that pointless, there will be a reduction in incoming dps, not always as immediate as a dex/qui debuff.

Edit : What you said about all things being equal the faster swings win sounds plausible, I guess the haste effect can win fights. I dont know how to calculate either the exact DPS gain of a faster dual swing (due to a faster offhand). I might try that nightshade DPS calc again.

What weapons are you using then?
Im mostly planning on ML10 and Malice, But Malice and CTD/CW is good also.

Yah you got valid points here Ivy :)

But when i mean faster swing speed win fights its more or less if i have a higher swing rate I can more easily ruin the other guys styles with strafes and run through, and I do that all the time - and I noticed on my minstrel lots of shades do this to me and it's fucking annoying since I have a slower to hit spd then they do so I get alot of "out of view" every hit.
Also 25 value end aint that much, most ppl got 5-10 bonus in fatigue ( end ) and the base value is 100 fatigue ( so u debuff 20-15% of thier end ) and if the proc only goes off once a fight I think it will be meaningless ( in an assassin fight atleast ) since you will probably have killed eachother b4 ur end is out.
And if this statement was to be argumented against then the loss of time pressing in my case f6 f2/f3 to get out of combat and drink a bot wont take as long as 2 rounds ( wich should be rougly 4 seconds when using 4.1/4.0 weapons @ 250 qu + haste buff + 10% toa bonus ) but mearly 1 round. ( wich ofc could be noticable if u just stand still while drinking and not strafing, trying to make the other person go OOV, wich atleast I do. )

Still you got valid points and iam not sure yet on what offhand to go for. :p
