Has anyone else been playing it yet ?

I gotta say it's absolutely flippin amazing (once you can sort the crashes out ofc :p )
It's got atmosphere, style, very very interesting storyline, novelty and it looks soooo good.
It reminds me of the original Deus-Ex,only better in every department.

Hate being at work............. need to go home. :(

Awesome game, the auto aim for 360 is handy for inept people like me :D

The storyline looks very good too, reminds me a lot of Deus Ex so far.

This the new one from the system shock peep?

Gotta say, from what i've seen, it looks absolutely ownderful. System shock was something you grew up with, so it has some "sentimental" expectation to it.

Glad to see it lives up.

Though i'm a bit doubtful about the underwater thing, never appealed to me, but water/space...same thing really eh? :D

Toh

The water effects/sounds actually add to the atmosphere (no pun intended)

One especially good one was an underwater explosion/implosion,seen from inside the city.....it actually looked real. :D

Cooool.

A few of the things i like about underwater games(besides sex) is the explosions.

Kinda have that "THMmmmmUMPF!" feel to them, as i can best describe :D

If you mean me dx10 as i said. Isnt that much of a diff really aside from on shiney surfaces. Main difference is water which is night and day between the two and is simply stunning in Dx10

Movement was a bit sucky with fraps too :) Not sure why but while recording it lowered sensitivity tons.

That said awesome how it was silky smooth while recording :D

Just started playing it....

Hm.. what can I say?
I don´t like story-heavy games with tons of tapes to listen to and constant background babbling. But that´s my problem, not the problem of the game(s). I`m willing to give this one a chance :D

This game is extremely well designed. It´s not an uber-gfx though, Bioshock makes heavy use of eyecandy, lots of specular maps and pretty nice special effects. But there are still lots of texture seams and ugly shapes.
The real good work here is the design itself. The morbid 60ies atmosphere is just great. Kudos to the art director!

Gameplay is so so. Controls are a bit slow. It doesn´t feel "right" but you get used to it. What I don´t like is the limited ammount of ammo. You´re always in a state of "hey, should I save those bullets for later, or just use them now?". I know, realism and all that but spontaneous death by heart attack is realistic too.. I just don´t want to play that. :)
Also, I don´t want to click on any fooking ash try to search for things I need. Less is more here.

The "hacking" game (game in the game) is pretty boring in my opinion. They could have done a better job at that.

Interface etc: I changed some settings like resolution and keybinds... and apparently the game didn´t save my settings?! Need to check wheter this was a but (I crashed first time) or if that´s normal. If it is normal (and I´ve see this before in 2K games), then that´s a minus.

Although my summary sounds pretty negative, I can assure you that in fact I like this game a lot! It´s definitely a step into the right direction with fresh ideas and a very good storyline and design. *thumbs up*

best game i've played since half life 1/2 and system shock 2. so, so very good. the combat is so much fun, have to say i really disagree with the above post in terms of the controls - it feels very nice to me on my machine. not sure if the above post is about the pc or 360 version, but on the pc (for me anyway) it's smooth as anything and very intuitive.

sucks that i have to work 12 hours tomorrow!

man that was such a fun fight. one thing i found really useful for that fight though was to use the electric shotgun ammo, coupled with the electric plasmid - meaning you can keep him regularly stunned and put some distance between you while you reload.

the great thing i've found so far also (don't know if you've done any more big daddy fights) is that each fight makes you have to make a new gameplan for each fight, there's always new ways to make the fight more economical (in terms of not losing too much health/ammo).

Has anyone found out if the effects/rewards for saving or harvesting the little sisters are individual or cumulative?

Else it looks like i'll be quicksaving before each one :D

Apparently

You get a bonus weapon if you get to the end without harvesting any girls, for playing through a second time i presume. Not sure if its true but i presume its the payoff for only having 1/2 ADAM

i'm happy to say it looks soooooooooooooo much better on 360/HD than what your playing

I do hope you realise that its scaled down and compressed :p?

Theres quite a noticeable difference playing high rez on the PC than on the 360, which is why i bought the PC version.

Completed it now anyway, was an absolute blast :D
