Ok, slightly odd problem, have a mobo bought last year, cpu bought this year ( old cpu now defunct ), old mobo is abit IC7G, new cpu is a prescott 3.2ghz.
Apparently I have to update the BIOS to enable the new CPU to work, does the CPU need to be removed to do this? ( its currently installed ), and if attempted to start just gets to the CPU detect section of the BIOS boot and just bugs out.
I havn't messed with BIOS updates much at all, just wondering how do I actually go about it?
Not my comp, but any help would be appreciated.
