Just got back from watching the LOTR and every time i saw 1 of the elf ppl ( you know the one I'm talking about he's in The Matrix dont know his name tho ) i expected him to say " Goodbye MR Anderson " which kept me amused for a few mins.

Hugo Weaving

He acts as Elrond in LotR trilogy and as Agent Smith in the Matrix trilogy.

LOTR was a wicked film, especially the fantasy battle scene,
The fantasy battle scene? As opposed to the reality battle scene?

:/

lol EVERYONE who has seen LOTR has said the same thing - you just can't take Elrond seriously. You expect him to chip in when they're all offering up support to Frodo... "my sword will be yours to command!" "and my bow!" "and my axe!" "and my Desert Eagle .50"

In years to come he'll be more remembered for LotR I think...

aye, but that's cos he was such a good character in The Matrix, he's typecast himself. He's got the same problem that Robert Patrick (T-1000) had now - he played the part of the implacable, unstoppable bad guy so well, noone's going to consider him for any other role. Maybe LOTR will change that, but considering that everyone who's seen it so far goes "an Agent!!!" when they see him, probably not.

Hugo Weaving is indeed a fine actor, but I have had trouble taking him seriously ever since I accidentally saw Priscilla - Queen of the Desert. Mind you, Terence Stamp was in that, and I pissed myself laughing when I saw The Limey.

LoTR r00lz.

  • Did you expect anything less? As far as i know it's another war history action movie with the history twisted to keep the americans happy.
