Let us have pics in our sigs
Limit them to something like 100 pixels tall and 400 wide, and to a certain file size such as 50k, and there wouldn't be a problem imo. It might take a while to download them at first for dial-up users, but hey once you've done that your comp stores them in memory anyway

It's not going to happen. We've already got people with signatures a mile long anyway, filling up the majority of the page with bilge. Having an additional image loading up too would just be too much. It's not even download speeds really, its just how cluttered and moronic the place would end up looking.

We dont read BW for the posts though anymore damini. We do it to compete with each others sigs/avatars.
At the moment the the minimlist style is the way to go, unfortunately not many have caught onto this yet.
