There is no proof that we could possibly send you....
....We checked server logs for anomalous movement logs that would indicate movement faster than the server believes should be possible and found plenty of matches. So the evidence that we have is direct observation (not something we can really send you) and a list of numbers. That's all the server log returns, numbers and dates. Not very informative and without access to dev tools actually pretty useless to you.

What proof do you want? Fraps footage? If two different GMs see you cheating that's got to be good enough imo. Why do they need to prove to a cheat that he was cheating?

this is correct indeed and besides, I don't think GM's make Fraps footage all the time they play, would be pretty HDD consuming I think and it's not even nearly as accurate as server logs.

It's maybe a little bad example, but at least one I can talk about =) I do some GM'ing on an Ultima Online freeshard and trust me, showing a blocked person serverlogs will not really clarify the thing to him, cause all he'll see is timestamps, numbers and maybe some server warnings. Sooo unlike you know the system (and I doubt GOA offers DAoC server trainings for players ), server logs are null to you.

You can also try to read debug code when a program crashes, it's like the same =) Assembler instructions and hex codes, not really something you do understand usually =))

the most appropriate way to know if someone really is cheating or not is to adopt the old 16th century witch hunt principles,

As a result of her investigation she became very suspicious and decided to follow Latuvuuu around and use some of our tools to see if there was any reason for him being able to move at speed whilst in combat, diseased and snared. On multiple occasions.

We can see all the active effects (buffs, charged items, active RAs etc) that a character has at any time and so it's very easy to see if someone is using an effect such as Charge, Arms Length, SoS, Winged Helm or similar. Obviously in Thidranki, the list of things that give you speed in combat is pretty short. For the record when you spoke to Zenythe the first time prior to being terminated and booted you were actually talking to me. Zenythe asked me to corroborate her observations. After a period of doing exactly what she had just done herself, I found myself bound to agree with her suspicions and so I spoke to you before terminating you (as terminations are my call as lead GM). I booted you, not because I was terrified of you bringing the conversation to FH, but because I had better things to do than argue with you.

We do not need to prove to you that you were cheating. At our entire discretion we can terminate your account if we feel that it would be in the best interests of the game. At any time. For any reason. The only person I need to justify the decision to is my boss. This is one of the conditions that you agreed to when you created your account and every time that you logged into the game.

Cheating is a choice. Most people avoid making it.

lol...wonder how you can get banned 2 or 3 times before tho...

think 95% of the people playing never had any probs with being banned...cause they didn't "try" bugs or anything else but to have fun (i know i haver been here since beta was running...and never had this "prob").

Could be your account was banned without a reason...but your background isn't really in your favour, and i don't think banning people for no reason isn't a real good option by GM's...since this goes around and could be bad publicity if it's true you were banned for no reason.

You not playing anymore means € xx less a month...and no company wants to lose money. So i think they did have enough proof to do this. And the community can only be glad that people "trying" stuff can and will be banned when they continue to "try" it.

I think he was provokeing him lol well all that provokeing and insulting got him suspensions then that finnished him off they did not need any evidance / proof. Just that they thought he was selling them.

Im not a daoc GM, however i been GM in another mmorpg that is high populated UO, I do not know what kind of tools the dev's has here however i do know for a fact we have alot of tools to see alot more than you can ever dream off.

tbh i know alot of you out there "think" we dont see that,we cant prove that, But i can asure you im 99% sure mythic has the best of tools for there game.


Also threat a gm etc will never get you anywhere, mmorpg have ALOT of players, if you took an argue with every guy who calls on us how many calls do you think we would manage to do on a day? as Requiel did off with you!

the problem is they cant truly verify if you are using hacks or not, they can only assume. Unless you want them to have a punkbuster type thing which checkes your files every time you log in

How would you know? I doubt you ever been a GM in GoA so how could you possibly know what tools GMs got? Now you can only assumpt what tools they have.
