Why not make one XD i though i was a funny idea since my bard once was battlebard alltho only rly thing i can see that im missing is 5 casting speed but i guess its not really anything i will need since its a solo temp and both str and dex is capped fully :>

i did rr5 - 7 duo solo with my bard mostly solo killing mincers and jimmtehpost xD

but Zvixxo :// as much as I like the idea and you know I used to be battlebard aswell, but they got nerfed a lot with ToA +NF. There are so many artis that neglect your speed+end song bonus, so many stuff that makes your melee dmg even more gimp, so much stuff that makes playing solo bard not really worth anymore :(

Tbh I throwed my bard away when NF came. It's still a cool class, my 3rd favourite ( after druid + healer ), but it's not what i used to be for me and maybe you'll get that feeling, too. I hope not, ofc, you seem to be pretty interested, but don't make yourself an illusion mate.

solo bard was easily the best challenge in daoc ever for me, i had sooo much fun pre-toa taking on mincer/infil duo's and such :)

then toa release came, every damage dealing class gained easily 20-40% damage output whereas solo bards gained some hitpoints, AF and cast speed bonuses. woot.

then the massive speedwarp abuse, and finally the deathblow: new frontiers. IP and FA were no longer linked and increased cost, AM doesn't affect the user anymore, worthless rr5 ra, removal of moblock. once again, all we could do was take hitpoint ra's to compensate for the massive increase of damage other classes could get with the new ra's. woot.

solo bards are dead, it is technically impossible to come even close to the power we had in OF pre-toa. the only thing we can do is abuse the huge difference between players that are fully toa'd ml9+ and players that have crap gear and have no ml's or ra's to back them up

Ya kinda missed the boat. Pre ToA weaps and AM made bard ok to solo. Was fairly balanced with a mincer 1 on 1 (maybe even a little in bards favour if specced correctly and playin ok). ToA made it a joke. NF RA changes killed it completely.

You seriously aint gonna have fun mate. I retired my bard which i loved an pretty much always played solo when I saw the NF RA changes. This was after soloing all my arties to 10 ;)

If you are serious go massive in passive resist increases and HP increases. Maybe you'll have a chance. Mine when i mass passives had somewhere in the region of 2100 hp's and 60% body resists (with shout up and no last body shout) and it worked ok v's mincers. So you should be able to blow that away fully ToA'd.

Not positive but i think dex btw will improve your ability to block not evade. You need more qui for that, only dont cause bard has very little usefull off evade, I always prefered the blades block chain ;)

In other words why bother? RF v's a mincers slash and body chant v's a mincer DD was a great equalizer. ToA LW screwed that up. No AM screwed that up even more. An inf could and always will tear through a bard. They just can't front load.

You might be wondering why i quote those 2. Because 9 times out of 10 those are what you'll meet.

PS Or maybe even a solo sorc with MoC and LT....LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL :rolleyes:
