I have just been over to the official forums and the PC version is not coming out until the 25th september in Europe all because they want to do more work on the PhysX ;/ something which i can't use anyway.

Fuck that i'll get the 360 version next week as there are other games coming out in September.

Shame as i thought that PC port was very very good.

Oh, then there's no problem - PhysX doesn't work on ATI cards fullstop afaik, so it'll be disabled. You won't miss much though, it's just a few fancy effects that aren't that special.

What a shane, the game would work straight away on my 360 without having to fuck around with anything.

Eat that PC *****.

I don't think you have to fuck around with anything on the PC one - in addition, I doubt the X360 version even has any PhysX at all so it's just a case of the PC having moderately better graphics if your machine can handle it.

Why? I don't think you get a worse experience on the PC with an ATI card, PhysX is simply a bonus if you have a PC with an NVidia card. The other systems don't have PhysX at all - it's like the Mirrors Edge PC release.

If it can handle it. 360 or PS3 can handle it by default

No they can't, they don't have PhysX stuff - it's an exclusive thing to PC's with Nvidia cards as far as I'm aware. :)

I don't understand the hype about this game :(

this is basically how I think the game is going to be played:

Enter room
Jump from Gargoyle to Gargoyle
stab people
Enter room
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Enter room
Jump from Gargoyle to Gargoyle
stab people
Enter room
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Cutscene.

New room.

Sounds about right, but it's fucking good fun Wonk. The brawl parts are a real laugh, and stalking the goons is *very* satisfying. Patience really does pay off.

I was playing the demo for the umpteenth time the other day and when two goons came to investigate their buddy who was hanging from a gargoyle I launched a batarang at one and while it was still flying, launched at the other with my feet. Both hit the floor at more or less the same time. I giggled like a schoolgirl.

Ye tis fun messing about with the different ways of disposing of enemies, though i suspect the majority of players will just do as wonk said xxxxxxx next xxxxxxxxx etc.

I also like that if you fuck up, you can actually get out of it if you're quick. It's not like stealth-fail = instadeath.

the xxxxx parts was a tiny bit boring. I liked the idea of the stealth kills, however there's not much varity in it. We need more gadgets and exciting locations :) not just gargoyles and big rooms. It will get boring after the first two hours of killing.

And no, it doesn't have to be similar to splinter cell. That's not what im trying to say, in case anybody thinks so. It is a superhero game after all.

Well you can't judge the number of gadgets on the demo - all you get is the batarang and the grappling hook jobby. If you press the d-pad you see that you've got just the batarang but there are slots to fill up all 8 directions on it. That's plenty of gadgets.

I hope so. The game has gotten some great reviews, so it may have some drastic changes later on. I'll remain sceptical untill someone can convince me though :)

To be honest, I'm quite happy with the demo and would gladly pay £16.15 for more of the same. Anything beyond that is a bonus. I wouldn't trust the reviews though, as has already been said Eidos have allegedly done some very dodgy dealings to secure favourable reviews.

Mate, if your just smashing x over and over then your playing it wrong there are loads of different combos to pull off.

Personally I think it is a brilliant game very well polished and the story is definatly going to be awesome.

Roll on next week I ain't waiting for the pc version for something I can't use.

Where did I say that i thought the game was just about smashing X? Give us a quote to remind me.

What I actually said was this

I wouldnt of managed to leave the first scene if i did that.

If all I did was smash x it would of been impossible to finish the demo.

You should also read wonks post, notice the words 'stealth kills'? That means not pressing x doesnt it?

If you like the game to the point of having an orgasm over it then fair enough but not everyone likes it that much just because you do.

I've never said it was about pressing x

Since he likes making things up, I heard Aada likes to boot up PGR3, drive a car in to the wall so the controller vibrates and then stick the controller handle up his bum to tickle his prostate.

Ok so you pressed Y once but you also broke your x button by constantly pressing it before you had to press y an after you pressed it.

Anal crumpet.
