I'll be honest with you, if i bought something and realised I had been done i would do the same thing as Das did. Prolly due to anger more than anything else. You showed your better than that by obviously useing the barrel ( i assume) rather than flogging it on.

Mind u its a shame we can no longer group as your a great cleric.

i once put shades 2/3 on CM for 6plat because i was bored and somone bought it, i had a fucking good laugh about it as well as I couldnt believe somone actually bought it for that.

If I was compiling a list of the top 5 ways I could say "Synergy arn't a bunch of cheating scammers", i'm fairly sure this sentance wouldn't of made it.

I'm not saying you are, because i'm fairly sure that there's plenty of nice people in the guild, but you really arn't helping yourselves are you!

he went all defensive? he told you exactly what happened, that he sold on a barrel that he had bought. In your anger you chose not to accept that and promptly left. It was mostly my fault on reflection for the way I said it. I said it in a way that gave you cause ot believe this was a frequent occurance, this was an error on my part as this is what i thought, i didnt have all the facts (ie i didn't know he had bought it previously) as I had only heard part of the story before over /gu.

Im not making excuses for what occured, but im also a firm believer that life in nearly every context WILL throw shit at you, its how you deal with said shit that develops you as a person.

Your principles should not allow you to grp with me. Im a bad person as I have stated previously.

Thing is for all the shitty, nasty stuff i have done to people in the past ive also done lots of nice things like allow low rr11 clerics to group with me against their principles

I run out of a barrel, tell the grp i wont be long and run to housing to buy one. scroll through a few pages, and buy a barrel. Ive bought dozens of barrels, and never had this problem. Its the decrepid daoc UI thats the blame, makes it easy for scammers to fool rvr ppl who just want to get into housing then back to the grp asap.

i got a bit grumpy when it happened, i just didnt expect to be in a grp with a tosser that does it bragging on vent.

Actually what I started by saying was that my respect for the guild had gone.
I always viewed synergy members as people that wern't scammers, or deliberately did lame stuff.
Since at least one of your members is (and has admitted it himself) then that belief was obviously rather misplaced..
No matter what you want to believe, a guild name is only as trustworthy as it's least trustworthy member.
You can say everyone in the guild is very nice all you want. Nice people don't spend an hour gloating with their mates about how they conned some noob out of his cash.

Yes it's completely the buyers fault when they get ripped off, in the same way it's your fault for leaving your window open when someone steals your TV.
