right few questions about bard templates, I have looked and read a few and have some issues with the ones I have seen.
1. Energy Resists - Why skimp on what seems to be to be a very important resist? For one thing some people are using BoS Weaps again but also Energy is Sorc mez, so surely being the main mezzer you want a higher resist rate on the enemies mez?
2. Charisma - What the hell does this do for bards other than increase the insta DD damage? It is to my understanding that the chance of the spell landing on an enemy is down to the Base level of the spell and any Mastery of Focus.
3. Cast Range - What is the cap on this? 10%?
Now for my views on what arti's/caps I think I would go for in a template;
101 Dex/10% Cast Speed/10% Cast Range/10% Spell duration - Must have to try and win the mez and keep the mez held.
75+ Con/300+ Hits - Am gonna get MA'd pretty fast I'd guess so the more HP the easier on the healers it'll be.
ALL resists to be 23%+ - Even Energy to reduce timer on Sorc mez.
Powerpool 20%+ - The more power, the more spells to be cast.
BoZ - Amazing for interupts.
GSV - Proc is great when being assisted on.
Phoebus Harp - ease to prevent instrument switching.
CB - Mez Feedback, nuff said.
Winged Helm - Style reduction of 75% is too good to pass up being a popular target.
Battler and Cyclops Eye Sheild - Battler charge for survival, Cyclops for popping those nasty stealthers that try to run. (These obviously aren't there for stat contribution as only used for the use abilities).
Thanks for taking a look and giving me any of your opinions. I will begin designing my Bard SC tonight while baring in mind any advice/views given here.
