But think of it this way, it would be worse if they where people who not only had a license, but had POINTS on it, and had picked up motoring fines due to shitty driving. That would be really fucking insulting.*
100 billion % wrong.
Sorry but i'd say that until you've had an accident due to shitty driving your in zero position to judge if what you are doing is wreckless.
The fact is that you can say your not driving recklessly until your blue in the face, but you've never had an accident. That means that nothing has ever gone wrong in order for you to see what happens when it does, so i'd say that your actually in no position to comment either.
Until you hit that bit of mud and actually lose control of the car at 70mph you've no idea what it's actualy like and therefore what your going to do at that time. I know if you aked me before I had an accident if I was driving wrecklessly i'd of said, no and i've never had a crash so that must be proof. Looking back I probably was and in trying to point out to other people who haven't had the accident but are driving exactly the same was I was when I had one, I ALWAYS get the same answer, the one i'd of given before hitting a wall as well.
At the end of the day if you give people a lift then your taking their lives in your hands. If they don't feel safe then slow down and get there 10 mins later so they do, or refuse to give them a lift full stop no matter how much they beg you. When they are bitching about how wreckless your being as you actually do hit something, and chances are you will at some point, you'll really really regret it. If your refusing to slow down if your gf is actually scared by it just shows what a crappy idiot you really are tbh, regardless of if you feel it's safe or not.
Yes it's often "safe" to go above the speed limit, but only do it if the people in the car entrusting you with their lives are actually happy for you to do it at least! If nothing else a passenger tends to see more of what's happening around you since you've got other things to concentrate on and it's all the things your missing while tanking along "safely" that are going to bite you.
