attacking a shade

just woundering it setting a pet on a necro in shade form is bug abuse as your not suposed to be able to attack him. Result of this is that pet will go after necro pet, even if necro pet is in a safe spot (ie cannot get LOS of necro pet but still be able to attack it because they can see necro pet). So it seems ok for other to attack necros pet without LOS but not the other way around.

I've not yet managed to get my pet to attack a shade yet... (I've tried) normally I send puppy charging at the pet and as I realise the killing arrow, switch targets to the shade... if I cant get the arrow off because the shades out of range, the puppy will finish him off...

This, however is only in bg1... no way I could stand levelling my hunter to 50

What kind of pets are you talking about? This would only be applicable for pets with ranged attacks, since others don't require los to attack in the first place...
