ATI Radeon HD5600 Problems

Guys

I am running Windows 7 and have an ATI Radeon 5600 on my works PC. I am having no end of problems with errrors saying,

"AMD Driver Stopped Working and has recovered"

And loads of issues in my modelling software. The PC has 8Gb of RAM (think its shite value RAM) so dunno where the issue is. Ive updated Windows, updated the display drivers.

One thing It maybe? I have an oldish HP L1706 Monitor plugged into the video card. Is that the issue?

This used to happen a lot with Nvidia cards. Basically the whole graphics card is locking up, it's either a driver or hardware issue (heat/memory).

Check how hot the card is running. Are you getting any graphical corruption?
