I prefer to not having it growing on cheeks so trim any bits that sprout up there.

Letting it grow to see what it'll be like when I go travelling, so far its got to a certain length and seems to have stopped. Not quite sure how a goatee is perfected.

Dont do all that "shave every day" bollocks, just means you'll get a rash.

My beard grows at different speeds, the bit around my mouth grows the fastest :p

All you need to do is leave it. Once you think "ooh its a bit bald here, but bushy there", trim it down. The idea is you trim it once length, the area's which take longer to grow wont be affected. Then it'll all look as though it grows one length.

Once it's turned into a beard, you'll find it grows much faster next time around.

I personally trim it with an electric shaver. I have a setting so it's a bit longer than stubble. If my beard is too long, or just a bit messy, i use that to neaten things up!

I heard your beard was just above your dick, btw do you botox that too? ;p

I don't want a beard - just a stubble going round the face.

So far I've got the cheeks and the sideburns area but not the chin. I got no frickin hairs there :(

I just shaved my beard off, was getting way too itchy, being clean shaven aint a must these days to look tidy. We don't have 10 guineas on the toon army to win the FA cup and pass me the revolver it's time for a walk in the woods these days. Scruffy stubble is apparently even in the office looked at as ok ;)

Cool beans!

In my opinion there are 4 stages of beard for a new starter.

1) stubble
2) getting there, but it still needs more
3) arghhh my face is itching like i have face crabs!
4) 1 week after (maybe even less that that), non itchy face with super beard KARRRR im a pirate.

When it starts to itch, you'll only have to wait a few days and it'll be fine.

Haha you should do a Before and After mugshot
Drop the beard, femals hate em:);)

i used to shave every other day as my facial hair grows really fast, but found it quite irritating. sooo during the freshers week of fun last year i didn't end up shaving for about 4 days due to being drunk or ill, and everyone said i looked loads better... and there on my face it has been ever since! i just trim with an electric razor every 2 days or something.

iz me anyway

laddey said i looked gay, but i think his shaved heads gay so we are even stevens

tempted to grow a huge one during the winter to keep me warm, after a week it gets so thick so shudnt take too long i hope
