Surprise, surprise! Good old Mr Wenger is acting like a child about the fact Arsenal haven't won the Premiership.
Arsenal hugely underperformed in the FA Cup semi-final and would not have won if it wasn't for the referee and Seaman's masterful save. They were distinctly average in the Champions League as well, from what I recall. Man Utd reached the quarter finals and performed admirably against Real Madrid.
Fair point tbh, it didn't help yesterday that they didn't have Campbell or Vieira but that's life. Man Utd suffered earlier in the season with injures and so have practically every team in every league at some point this season, it just happened to Arsenal while they were on a bad run of a form and Man Utd were on an excellent one.
I'm sorry, but just look at their form lately and there's your answer. In the last eight games Man Utd have scored 26 (four of which against arguably the best team in the world) and conceded 12 whereas Arsenal have managed just 15 and conceded 10 in their last eight matches. Man Utd have turned round their season amazingly whilst Arsenal have stuttered and stumbled.
Whinge whinge whinge... Money does not buy you success, but it does help a hell of a lot. Anyway, look at Fergie's three biggest signings of late. Veron vastly underperformed last season but had some good games whilst Keane was out injured. Only a squad rotation player as of late, nothing more. £30m for Rio who is overrated to fuck, just like Campbell is. Van Nistelrooy is undoubtedly the best signing Fergie's made of late. £19m on a striker is worth it when he scores over 70 goals in 100 games for the club (thus far).
This really angered me and although if I had to choose a 'second team' it'd be Man Utd, simply because I enjoy watching them and I think Giggs is utterly brilliant it just annoyed me that he's simply not able to accept defeat is he? Stupid man. Well done to Man Utd, nothing Arse can say will take the title away from them.

When you look at the whole season, taking in the FA Cup and the Champions League, we are certainly the best team.

We lost three players in five minutes at Bolton, and then you have to add Patrick Vieira and Sol Campbell to that. If you miss half the army it's very difficult.

Are United worthy? I don't know.

But finishing second is not a disaster, especially when you have only 50% of United's budget.
United spent £30m on a new player - and they will do that again. We cannot, but it does not mean we will lose the Championship next year.
